The recent pictures of Daniela Westbrook has attracted a lot of negative comments. I can’t help but feeling sorry for someone who clearly has had issues to deal with throughout her life.

Do you find it is rude to say she looks awful?

She's a sexual abuse victim who never got over it and used drugs and drink instead. Unfortunately from what I've seen of her on celeb big brother she turned out a bit of a twat to be honest. I saw on James English though and only have sympathy for her and Brian Harvey because they suffered sexual abuse in the BBC, as many do.

I just remembered her as a pretty young woman and found a picture that reminded me of her when she was young.

I believe that she sells intimate photos etc on Only Fans. Don’t know if she still does but she certainly was doing it at least fairly recently.

So I think if you are going to use your appearance to generate income, then it’s not unreasonable for others to comment on your appearance. I think if she was in another field eg/a singer, it would be unfair. But as she’s choosing to make a career out of how she looks, I don’t think it’s unreasonable for people to comment on how she looks!

Obviously not condoning the malicious, spiteful comments but general negative feedback is fair enough, I think.

I know she did it to herself and maybe wasn’t the nicest person in her younger days, but I can’t help but feel sorry for her. Drug addiction is awful.

Her neck? That's called ageing!

It's unusual for age 50 though to have a neck like that.

I’m 11 years older than her, so realised I could never look like that, but yes, she was SO pretty, so perfect, I’d’ve been so jealous of her at school. My very pretty school friends are still pretty at 60. It’s a tragedy, however self-inflicted, she was too young for her instant stardom, “fell in with the wrong crowd”, as my Mum used to warn.

Very true, I was a drugs worker for well over a decade and the people with real problems all had trauma in their lives, serious loss, abuse, had been in the care system, had undiagnosed mental health conditions that they were self-medicating for. The ones who did recover were the ones who had access to therapy as well as substitute prescribing if they were using heroin. There is no substitute medication for cocaine so all the intervention has to be psychosocial and as with anything addictive will mean a complete change of lifestyle and social circle.

She is very unwell and also appears to have an addiction to cosmetic surgery - multiple operations a year (not just on her nose)

@OneTwoThreeShake You do know she was gang raped? That's part of the reason she found it so hard to stay off drugs.

She certainly has not aged well. However those are extremely unflattering photos, bit sly of the paper not to stump up for a make up studio shoot. Great advert for staying off the drugs too.

She’s clearly troubled and the complicity is an indicator of that. There are all sorts of people lining up to exploit her vulnerabilities including therapists. I’m a psychotherapist and it really troubles me that people in the public eye who have their struggles are seen as fair game - you can make TV entertainment or you can delivery client oriented ethical therapy - you cannot do both and none of it should have been televised. The edited version of the therapy sessions serves no purpose; it doesn’t help people like DW and it doesn’t give an insight into therapy.

I don’t expect much of Daily Mail hacks but the televised therapy session featuring DW was wrong, really unethical and something I know DW (and other celebs who appeared, regret).

She looks absolutely terrible, the styling, bleached hair and direct sun light on her face (done on purpose) gives her a very harsh streetwalker look. A studio photo with diffusing light would have given her a more flattering angle and the Mirror knows that. There's nothing accidental about this picture. I've worked in media long enough to now this is what the tabloid wanted and what they were aiming at, for people to throw their arms in at the air thinking "WTF!!?& poor woman!" Tabloids are the pits were women get degraded all the time, chauvinism on steroids, they love the Katie prices, to portray women as street walkers, that picture of the famous actress coming drunk out of a club tripping with a boob showing. Tabloids are very demeaning to women. They probably paid her a lot.

What a terrible waste. She had such a pretty face, a great, well-paid career and she threw it all away on drugs for a colossal amount of money

Sorry,I left out the context to my comment. I meant to say that she appeared in a TV series featuring different well known people receiving therapy on screen from a therapist called Mandy Salagari. It was a few years ago now.

She's lucky to have you sticking up for her, by posting hideous pictures of her on the one of the most popular sites on the internet.

It is very sad that she is in this position that she must need cash and the papers use this vulnerability to mock her and I find it disturbing to be honest. Is there no one in her life that can help her to stay out of the papers as it is not in good taste at all and making fun of her. She was young when she got into drugs and the cocaine messed her up completely as she was such a lovely looking young woman and just sad to see how things turned out for her. It does not seem to be deterring young people from taking cocaine though as everyone seems to be on it now since the pandemic. I do have empathy for her as would not wish what has happened to her on anyone and yes it is her fault but as humans we all make mistakes and is horrible hers is in the public domain. Hope she finds some peace in her life. Some people feel no empathy for others and that is sad.

The tabloids didn't take or organise the pictures. She takes them herself and sells them to a photo agency (backgrid) and the tabloids buy from them. She is responsible for the lighting, make up etc...... you can blame the media for a lot of shit but not this one.

From a quick image search it looks like she went from very natural to more artificially attractive long before the badly botched surgeries. Lots of early surgical tweaks? If so, that's a long history of being unhealthily invested in how she looks, and it must feel awful to end up where she is now.

Of course it’s not nice when people comment nasty things but they do on Kim Kardashian’s pictures too, you can literally be one of the most beautiful women in the world and you’ll still get internet trolls.

But she needs to stay away from the limelight and focus on herself.
This environment is no good for her and she just continues to embarrass herself.

I know fame is like a drug in itself but she could just get a little job.

increased her boob size from a 34B to a 34DD, ignoring advice from doctors that her frame was too small for the procedure. She claimed that she “literally begged him to do it” after saying she “didn’t care” and wanted her breasts to look like “huge footballs”

She jetted to Turkey for another surgery on her face in an attempt to correct her nose following years of cocaine abuse. “If I don’t have it done, the palate in the back of my mouth will collapse and I’ll suffocate to death,” she said. “When I went to Turkey, I could have died."

She also underwent a surgical thread lift earlier this year as well as a fat transfer in a bid to fix a past botched surgery. But, following the op, she was left with a one-inch hole in her head.

The actress said she is now planning on paying a surgeon in the UK £500,000 to try and get her face back to looking how it should and “doesn’t care” how much it ends up costing her.

This is crazy. The poor woman wants to be cut and stitched until she resembles some sort of blow-up doll Agree that it looks very much like a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, only seeing value in herself as a sex object.

I hope she survives all the additional surgery and can afford it. But wish she'd spend the money on therapy instead.

@Stravaig I don't think she has a long history of being unhealthily invested in her looks, she was gang raped and could'nt get off drugs as she was trying to forget what happend to her.

Also some people are more prone to addiction than others, some can drink and not become alcoholics, same with drugs, many are occasional users of cocaine but others become highly addicted. If she was ever to use her face it should be to try to warn others against cocaine and drug use, she actually looks like a crystal meth user and I do not mean in a bad way but shocking and really feel for her. I do not know if she still uses, can anyone enlighten me.

Sorry but she caused her facial bones to collapse by taking drugs.Ww need to keep our sympathies for people who are ill through no fault of their own u.e cancer sufferers.
