The recent pictures of Daniela Westbrook has attracted a lot of negative comments. I can’t help but feeling sorry for someone who clearly has had issues to deal with throughout her life.

Do you find it is rude to say she looks awful?

Horrible for people to jeer at her. Why should she be judged on the way she looks?

I don't think anyone is jeering. Everyone is saying how sad it is. The answer to why she should be judged it because she was a beautiful woman who did this to herself by drug abuse. It is worth young people seeing this because it may warn others off.

This photo is really weird - zoom in and look at the difference between the skin on her face and the skin on her back.

I suppose the people who think she's happy, also think addicts who prostitute themselves are positively ecstatic.

It’s not as simple as “it’s her fault for taking drugs in the first place” blah, blah, blah 😕 some people suffer traumatic events and drugs (including alcohol) are the only things that numb them to the pain and anguish. There are millions of youngsters that experiment and are lucky enough not to become addicted, perhaps because they’ve come from a loving stable family background that has provided them with a healthy self-esteem. I have read her autobiography and nothing was mentioned about her parents or having a bad upbringing, but we just don’t know - she could have chosen not to divulge this information.

She was thoroughly obnoxious when she was younger and has her original face. So yes it is cruel, but I can't get too worked up.

@Fartooold you know that picture you posted of her has been filtered and altered? She didn't look like that. That was taken in her late twenties or early thirties I think, around the same time she was photographed in the Burberry outfit.
All the people who are saying they can't understand why she looks so old and why all the surgeries aren't working, it's because she is a class A drug addict.
This is what class A long term drug addicts look like when they age.

Yes of course she looks awful, nobody can deny that but I feel so sorry for her, addiction is a terrible thing. She has to put herself out there in the press as its the only way she can make money, even if it is by being ridiculed for her appearance.

In her autobiography, she said that she'd go days without eating or drinking anything when on cocaine binges. I can't imagine that malnourishment and dehydration would keep you looking young.

Persistent drug use is ageing in itself. She has used a lot of drugs and presumably is still using which would explain why no one's prepared to risk trying to repair her face. She's untrustworthy, doesn't listen to medical advice and an habitual drug user. In short, a very high risk patient.

What happened in her childhood to cause this descent into serious addiction?
No one stable, secure and balanced ends up so badly affected.

Usually some deep trauma or loss early on.

Cocaine use always seemed so glamorous to me when I was younger. I thought it was always young, rich, thin and beautiful people who did it and I was obsessed with the 80s and 90s supermodels. So although it's incredibly sad to see someone's downfall I think that showing the true reality of cocaine use is a good thing.

I do feel sympathy for her but also frustration. She has wasted more money on drugs than most will see in ten lifetimes of hard graft. It’s not a case of a hard life and lack of opportunity, its wealth and opportunity snorted away like it was nothing.

She was on a programme a few years back where she implied she was kidnapped and I think gang raped for a number of days among other issues with her upbringing. She has had an awful life. Drugs have been the answer she has used for that. I have the upmost sympathy for her and family members who have been impacted by her experiences. Trauma is a bastard.

She says that the surgery she had to reconstruct her nose was a bodge job and so now the facial bones have been affected by osteoporosis.

As others have said, she was stunning when she was a young woman. It's very sad.

So bloody sad.

I’ll never forget hearing her say (in a documentary) that when her septum had eroded away all she thought was about the amount of coke she’d be able to shove up there now. I was quite young when I heard that, and it was enough to put me off trying anything like it. I don’t doubt she’s set these photos up, but that’s all she’s left with to make money. She’s hardly living the life of riley, selling what’s left of her dignity.

She does look horrendous but I do feel sorry for her. We've all made mistakes in life but hers will haunt her for the rest of her life.

She arranges the photoshoots herself, she's not being hounded by papps.

I promise you that, for people who are concerned that she's being followed or spied on. This is her only income, she's fully complicit with the photographers.

Though I agree that it's not ethical to pay her for such.

No sympathy for any of this drug and plastic surgery shit no matter who does it.
Plastic surgery is good for people needing reconstruction after illness or accident, but to fuck up your body with nips, tucks and other shit that's another matter.

Yes it's awful - she was sexually abused as a child and has had a life most of us could barely even begin to imagine. I really feel for her. It's so cruel to ridicule her for how she looks.

I hate the way the tabloids regularly feature her with headlines that deliberately provoke people to post the most vile and unpleasant comments. I also hate the way that the only way she appears to be able to make any money is by having these photographs taken and published. If she was able to do some kind of ordinary job, I do not doubt that the same tabloids would be there to take pictures and make mock of her. I do not think things will end well for her.

She had proper reconstructive surgery years ago and looked great. Then she got married and was with her husband for years. I think they moved to the US and became born again christians. I wonder what happened to cause things to spiral.

All self inflicted. The money that she earns from pap shots could go on drug rehab but instead she chooses dodgy plastic surgery in Turkey.

We all make choices. Some people just make shittier and shittier ones instead of learning.
