The recent pictures of Daniela Westbrook has attracted a lot of negative comments. I can’t help but feeling sorry for someone who clearly has had issues to deal with throughout her life.

Do you find it is rude to say she looks awful?

Poor woman. She's been through so much. I listened to a podcast with her recently and she was raped and abused by people in the industry when she was primary school age. She'd also been plied with cocaine from aged 8. No wonder her life turned out the way it did.

She looks so old, the filters hide it all. Her whole bone structure has caved in which makes the face wrinkle more. I feel sad for her. It was her choice to take drugs but she was young and it's a hard lifestyle for them. I feel sorry for anyone with an addiction they feel overpowered by.

Agree. DW has had so many operations and I'm always left puzzled as to how, with each subsequent surgery, they manage to make her look worse! I just don't understand it...

@Jumpingthruhoops She admits that at times, she tried to cut costs and go with someone cheaper and ended up not having as good a result as she might've had.

She looks absolutely terrible. Marilyn Monroe?! Bloody hell. Too many years of taking drugs. I'm afraid I can't be sympathetic with that.

How about sympathy for WHY she took all those drugs? I think I'd been shovelling coke up my nose or drinking myself into oblivion if I'd been raped at 7.

Nothing works as a deterrent if someone has had deep emotional pain, especially as a child.

Really serious addictions are almost always due to deep trauma and pain as a child.

She's not been famous for years, she's selling the pics to the media and advertising her Only Fans site. Yes, they are distasteful.....but, her choice 🤷‍♀️

Daniella Westbrook was a victim of childhood sbuse and a victim of the BBC. Her story is heartbreaking. Yes lots of people are sexually abused and go on to do great things. Some don’t. We all have different resilience factors and most of us didn’t have easy access to addiction because we didn’t earn a shit load of money as a kid and we weren’t exploited when we were at our most vulnerable.
I’ve always like Daniella- she’s a survivor and she is still a charismatic and warm person despite her fading looks.
Yes she looks rough sometimes but that photo is particularly unflattering.
Some of the comments on here are absolutely awful.

I read Danielle’s auto biographies ,( published 2006, and 2013 respectively) she seemed to have conquered her demons and was full of hope for the future. She looked really well, and had acting jobs like on Hollyoakes.
Sadly she seemed to go off the rails again when her marriage broke down.
She has had more opportunities to get clean than your average addict, and is now so entrenched it might be too late.. it must be terrible for her family having to see her being paraded like a freak show to earn a living.
