The recent pictures of Daniela Westbrook has attracted a lot of negative comments. I can’t help but feeling sorry for someone who clearly has had issues to deal with throughout her life.

Do you find it is rude to say she looks awful?

Because all of the bone structure underneath her nose area was destroyed by the huge amounts of cocaine that she was (is) taking. I shudder to think what an x ray of her skull would look like. To get a "normal" looking nose and mouth would probably require a really invasive surgery with something man made to replace the bone, and I don't even think that's really possible.

If you're not squeamish try searching online for facial bone loss caused by cocaine, and look at some of the image results.

It's so sad she has to sell herself like this. She knows what beauty is and I'm sure she now knows she looks terrible.

No,she probably can't just "get an actual job". It would be hard enough for a non-famous woman of her age, with her health problems and appearance, to get a job. What relevant experience does she have? Get real.

She looks horrific and those pictures should serve as a warning to every kid thinking of starting on drugs . Nothing good ever comes from drugs

Rubbish you are naive,she had plenty of choices in life.She wanted to get high and screwed her face up.She could have just worked hard in a normal job like the majority of people.Plenty of people are abused but choose a different path in life

I did not know she went through that awful trauma of kidnapping and gang raped for days, most people who use a serious amount of drugs as others have said are just trying to get through the day living with that trauma, so sad as she really seemed to have her life sorted a few years ago living in the U.S. Wishing her some peace in her life as trauma from childhood can haunt you and you need to be a hard arsed person not to feel some empathy for someone who has gone through the trauma and abuse she has.

The tabloids revel in the downfall of addicts, whoever they are. When they're perceived as being talented, it's a tragedy (Paul Gascoigne, Shane MacGowan, George Best etc)... when they're not talented (Daniella, Kerry Katona, Katie Price) then it's just a circus. Sad, either way. There's a point where the 'untalented' section have to keep playing the tabloid game because they're broke or bankrupt and have no other options, no hope of a real job.

Exactly. It’s been proved that drug addiction is a combo of genetic factors and childhood trauma. Some people seem to think that it’s a “choice”, something in the lines of “oh I run out of chocolate cookies, let me just try some heroin”. There’s a lot of underlying non resolved pain in drug addiction, drugs are used to mask that pain. Drug addiction is mostly an illness that some manage to come out from and some not. My sympathies to Daniella and anyone going through this hell.

I dont have a quota of feeling sorry for people.

Shes clearly miserable the way she is, and that's sad.

Do you have any sympathy for skiers who break bones, or mountain climbers, or smokers who get cancer, or people in car accidents...?

She is complicit in the photos if they are via backgrid. She may not have any other ready source of income other than abasing herself in public.

Having said that, she is not in a good place to make decisions that are in her best interests so I wish someone could help her.

Your family member has done brilliantly, but they may crash and burn at some point. Trauma is tricky and unpredictable. If they do suffer a breakdown later in life, I fervently hope they have people around them who have more empathy, compassion and basic human decency than you do Hmm

She was a diva. I saw her and Brian Harvey go into McDs on Oxford Street and she was flicking her hair about making sure everyone knew she was there talking really loud. Nobody gave a shit. She was just another Eastenders actor .....
