M&S Super Nutty Wholefood Salad catastrophe?

I LOVE M&S Super Nutty Wholefood Salad and it has been my go-to meal option for years whenever I travel. I tried to get a few yesterday prior to a business trip and it wasn’t available. Tried two other shops on the motorway - no joy.
Eventually I found a smaller version, minus the salad leaves and humous. But the humous and leaves were an integral part of the salad.
Does anyone know whether M&S have discontinued the original one? Everyone I know eats them so they’re presumably quite popular, so why would they be discontinued? There’s no mention on the internet of this disastrous development. What’s going on? Please help!

Yes! I loved them. I used to get their pasta salad (shell pasta, sweetcorn, red onions, peppers and vinaigrette - also discontinued 😡) and sit in the town centre and use the squares to scoop up the pasta. So sophisticated for a 15 year old!

They have just discontinued their own brand dog food. The only food that my puppy-farmed abandoned rescue dog will eat.

Yes! Percy Pigs are awful now. I refuse to buy them & get the dupes from Aldi for DC.

I miss the Mediterranean Herb crisps (from about 20 yrs ago). They've changed the fresh naan breads too & they're horrid, hard, chewy & dry now.

I have fond memories of a boring Saturday job being brightened up by a chicken tikka sandwich.

I swear they changed the recipe of their Thai chilli crisps for a while. They were ‘new and improved’ but the flavour had been replaced with heat. Fortunately they came to their senses and changed it back.

Those utter bastards at Pret have changed the tiny jambon buerre crispy bread roll tho g so that the bread is no longer crispy, the butter not salty and the pickles not crunchy. They are dead to me with their private equity approach to my favourite sandwich (and accompanying rising cost). Dead.

That sounds delicious and I don't even like marmalade.

They wait until I love something then change it or discontinue it. I still think about the whole meal pizza they used to make when I was a child.

M&S food must be making some changes at the moment. My favourite M&S lunch is their poached salmon sandwich, but I’ve not seen it for the last few weeks. There’s a salmon and cucumber one still available but the other one is a lot nicer! I’m hoping it’s a blip and that it returns soon.

They used to do a chicken and salami sandwich that I still think about on a daily basis. Don't even eat meat any more.

My son is still devastated about the discontinued Percy and Penny fondant biscuits,the jammy alternative are rank!
I used to love the steak and onion baguette you baked in the oven,it was delicious.

I used to love their small bags of chocolate dipped toffee popcorn. Not too many calories but really lovely. They stopped those too but I'm going back a few years now.

I was just thinking about the chicken tikka sandwich today - the tangy minty dressing….

It got me through my teenage years and was my one go to reward for shopping with mum

M&S are bastards for discontinuing things, it makes me very distrustful of them 🤣

I buy this but it's never had leaves and hummus in it ever.

I think they're having some supply issues at the moment so all may not be lost.
I hate what they've done to their individual tomato and mozzarella pizza. Barely any tomato topping and they've swapped the little blobs of pesto for sad, wilting basil leaves.

I’m so sorry @SocksAndTheCity . It’s now a chewy roll that doesn’t have the sharp twisted ends and the cornichons are floppy sad greying things. A bit like newts, and about as tasty. Their baguettes are also now frozen heat up jobs so not crispy crust and too dense / flabby inside. The sandwich shop can no longer make decent bread - I guess it’s all about higher margin coffee

Oh yes! I used to buy that in the 90s - delicious! When I met my husband (1995) I was using their gorgeous Lily bath stuff - shower gel, bubbles, body spray etc. They discontinued that a few years after we met. We both loved it (possibly he did more than me) and still lament the loss of it in our lives. It was gorgeous, and nothing has ever touched it since. Gutted!

Err, what?! That is the best sandwich. I haven’t been in to Pret in ages, now I may not bother!

I haven’t forgiven M&S for discontinuing an asparagus pasta stir through sauce, I still check for it occasionally but it must have been at least 10 years ago!

I'm still seething that M&S discontinued the dark milk chocolate with dried raspberries some years back.

I too hate M & S with a vengeance for discontinuing so many greatly loved food products, including the Tikka sandwich with the mint dressing.
By far their greatest crime was stopping the blue cheese dressing which was a huge favourite in the 80s
They really don’t serve their customers.
