M&S Super Nutty Wholefood Salad catastrophe?

I LOVE M&S Super Nutty Wholefood Salad and it has been my go-to meal option for years whenever I travel. I tried to get a few yesterday prior to a business trip and it wasn’t available. Tried two other shops on the motorway - no joy.
Eventually I found a smaller version, minus the salad leaves and humous. But the humous and leaves were an integral part of the salad.
Does anyone know whether M&S have discontinued the original one? Everyone I know eats them so they’re presumably quite popular, so why would they be discontinued? There’s no mention on the internet of this disastrous development. What’s going on? Please help!

This is interesting. Sounds as though there may be two versions so perhaps all is not lost. I will have to investigate further!
All of their other salads have weird stuff in them. I’ll be lost without it.

So Google tells me there two of these salads, confusing called:

"Super Nutty Wholefood Salad" (the small one)

"Plant Kitchen Nutty Super Wholefood Salad" (the larger one)

See what they did there?

Anyway, not sure if they're discontinuing them but this might help if they do?

I’m still mourning their lobster bisque, it was incredible.

I miss their four pack of toffee yoghurts. They were so good.

Roast potato seasoning has disappeared too. 😡

I read something once from someone who was high up in one of the major supermarkets, or similar. It was anonymous. He said that customers always think “Why don’t they stock more of (popular dish)?” And “why did they discontinue xxxx?”. Apparently it’s because if everyone buys, say, a prawn sandwich, then all other sandwiches don’t sell. Instead of stocking more of the popular ones, they stock fewer, or none at all to encourage people to buy other stuff.

I used to really like their brie and cranberry sandwich, haven't seen that for a while.

And, to be controversial, Percy pigs are shite without the actual pig in them.

I haven’t let myself get attached to M&S food since they did away with Whisp yoghurts, cheesy sausage rolls and salmon & dill ridged crisps.

I’ve previously looked a recipe to make it myself
Unfortunately the reason I buy them is because I work in dirty horrible environments with no cooking or cleaning facilities, and they’re an easy option without me having to resort to a Ginsters pasty and a Twix. So making them myself isn’t really an option.

Looks like the Apple and Cinnamon Granola/Crunch/Cereal has gone as well. Haven't seen it for weeks!

Waitrose seem to have done away with a delicious Spiced Apple and Pear Crumble Cake that I either had only just discovered or was only to be available for a short period of time. Should have bought a spare freezer to stock up in. Darn!

I used to love their tabbouleh. I make it myself now, but it isn't quite as good and creates a lot more washing up!

I’m very, very, very sad and extremely disappointed that they’ve stopped doing their Turkish Delight chocolate bars. ☹️

I’d forgotten how much I loved those Chicken Tikka sandwiches. I think i read that they were amazingly popular in Paris.

Every time I go into M&S I check to see if they’ve decided to bring back a sandwich they discontinued more than 20 years ago. It was Tuna Melt - tuna mayo filling with onions and peppers with a soft cheese topping on the top slice of bread. They were divine. They also used to do a Big Beef and Onion sandwich which was roast beef on onion bread. That was really good too.

M&S are terrible for discontinuing much-loved food items. I still miss the egg and prawn sesame seed roll they did about 20 years ago, and NOW bars.

They were so, so good. That bright green minty dressing. Yum. Cry.

I can empathise, because they discontinued the Ruby Red Grapefruit Marmalade I love so much. I suppose I will get over it eventually.
