To KNOW Dcat was wrong and secretly think she should admit she was?

This morning DCat demanded to come with me for our usual walk (she's comes with me, for the first bit, when I take the dogs out). I explained it was very snowy and she would be better staying behind. I gave her plenty of opportunities to come back in once she saw the weather herself.

She disagreed.

She walked a short bit and demanded to be picked up. As a good owner I complied. At the normal part I leave her I put her down and continued on my way with the DDogs. Did my usual loop, met her at the usual waiting spot and carried her back.

She is not happy. She thinks I was neglectful to have left her and is now making her displeasure clear.

I think she knew it was snowy and should just admit she was wrong to come outside.

I know she'll never admit she's wrong but AIBU to KNOW she was?

How could you look at that little face and not know you are utterly in the wrong? Always, on everything to do with Dcat?
Mind, Dpup’s little face is equally convincing.

Ohh poor DCat her princess paws will be so cold. My cats would agree your unreasonable but they also think I am unreasonable for not getting up at 2 am to pamper or feed them

For a fee, I'll send in DD to sort Princess Ginge out.

We call DD the Cat Whisperer, as cat's seem to flock to DD like she's some sort of God to them.

The neighbour cats wait for DD to appear so they can bathe in her godly glow.

It's hilarious when cats realise they've made a mistake. But try to brazen it out anyway. She's a stunner OP. Is there some Persian in her?

My huge long haired boy insisted on going out... Through the hedge and back... Came in soaked and because I've had him since he was 3 weeks old and had to wash his paws, teach him to clean etc he still thinks I'm going to be on hand with a towel 4 years later.

YABVVVU for the following reasons:

  1. you have failed to alter the weather so DCat lives in perpetual spring/summer weather and thus does not have to ever experience snow.
  2. Because you failed to achieve 1 you did not provide a sedan chair to avoid her paws ever having touching the mean cold snow.

This reminds me of a joke (please forgive the religious aspect).

Agreed with cats are always right. Just been trying to tell my kitten his food is over there and we're not carrying him to his bowl all the time....5 min later there I am carrying him to his bowl 😂

@BertaHoon that's so sweet. I suppose mother cats tell their offspring in no uncertain terms when it's time to stop mithering them and go away, but we humans are massive mugs.

Actually i have a solution for her disgruntlement.

Either an electric blanket on your bed or a hot water bottle.

It'll shorten the war by years and save millions of lives.

My cat adores my heated throw.

YABU. You know that you are cat staff, and it's your job to anticipate dcat's every need. I fully expect that she has used her little furry paws on her furryfone to ring the RSPCA. She probs has them on speed dial Grin

People own dogs. Cats are never owned. Cat will not admit a mistake even if making one.
