To KNOW Dcat was wrong and secretly think she should admit she was?

This morning DCat demanded to come with me for our usual walk (she's comes with me, for the first bit, when I take the dogs out). I explained it was very snowy and she would be better staying behind. I gave her plenty of opportunities to come back in once she saw the weather herself.

She disagreed.

She walked a short bit and demanded to be picked up. As a good owner I complied. At the normal part I leave her I put her down and continued on my way with the DDogs. Did my usual loop, met her at the usual waiting spot and carried her back.

She is not happy. She thinks I was neglectful to have left her and is now making her displeasure clear.

I think she knew it was snowy and should just admit she was wrong to come outside.

I know she'll never admit she's wrong but AIBU to KNOW she was?

She is the cat. You are staff, on a good day, slave on a normal day. Of course you were unreasonable.

Offer ear scratches, Dreamies and many apologies and you may win back the approval of your overlord.

Rebel2 · 10/03/2023 10:39

I did also warn mine it was snowing. He didn't listen

😂😂

Runningonjammiedodgers · 10/03/2023 10:48

YABVU. I think DCat was well within her rights to go out in the snow, and I don't think she was unreasonable in her expectation to be carried. If you didn't want to carry her you should have return her home then gone on your walk.

I think you know you were out of ordered but posted on here in the hope someone would agree with you.

ArchieStar · 10/03/2023 10:48

YABU. And a monster. DCat needs to LTNO (Leave The Neglectful Owner). HOW DO YOU SLEEP AT NIGHT!

TeaserandtheFirecat · 10/03/2023 10:49

Just because the decision was entirely hers it doesn’t mean the consequences are her responsibility

This is Rule 1 in the cat slave manual!!!!

@Rebel2 OMG 😆

anerki101 · 10/03/2023 10:50

YABU. Cats are always right. Fact.

Daleksatemyshed · 10/03/2023 10:50

Cats are always right, accept this and make amends or face the revenge. Tinned tuna may be enough, maybe.

Arou · 10/03/2023 10:50

AWWWW

Bonjovispjs · 10/03/2023 10:50

Oh dear OP, you seem to have forgotten the main rule of living with a cat and that is that they're the boss and we are just their minions. Therefore she is right and you are obviously being very unreasonable and she will sulk for a good while after her shocking treatment 😜

WandaWonder · 10/03/2023 10:50

I get cats don't listen as being cute is their prerogative but do they have to look at humans in that patronising way?

slowquickstep · 10/03/2023 10:50

Imagine leaving a poor kitty in the snow ! You do know it will take at least 24 hours and a packet of Dreamies before she speaks to you again. Poor wee soul.

What a great wtf face.

WTF99 · 10/03/2023 10:52

Her face 😁

One way or another you are in the wrong though, obviously......

Sunriseinwonderland · 10/03/2023 10:52

You will pay. Maybe not today or tomorrow but when you least expect it.

viques · 10/03/2023 10:53

Make sure you close your bedroom door tight tonight OP, I wouldn’t put it past your cat to take revenge, sick in your slippers could be a weapon of choice, or half a mouse left on your pillow if she has been watching those Godfather re runs.

Mad Grumpy Cat GIF by MOODMAN

Yes, yes they do.

Daleksatemyshed · 10/03/2023 10:55

Yes they do @WandaWonder because they are being kind to their inferiors (us) and we just let them down. The cat is the Dowager Duchess and we are the lowly kitchen maids 😂

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 10/03/2023 10:56

I think we need to hear her side of the story. That poor little face. She's definitely hard done by 😂

ClawedButler · 10/03/2023 10:56

I'm terribly sorry, I can't seem to grasp this concept "Dcat was wrong"

This makes no sense at all.

If you didn't want The Face, why did you let it snow??

CaveMum · 10/03/2023 10:58

Oh you just know she’s going to hurl up a monster fur ball at the most inconvenient time/in the most inconvenient place just to spite you now.

And you’d deserve it 😜

Dogs have owners, cats have staff.

Starflecked · 10/03/2023 11:00

I'm not much of a cat person but have to say what an adorable photo! As well all know cats are always right though.

WeBuiltCisCityOnSexistRoles · 10/03/2023 11:00

Obviously goady post.

Reported.

TeaserandtheFirecat · 10/03/2023 11:01

@ClawedButler sums up the entire sorry saga. Username suggests vast experience in cat comfort learning.

Georgyporky · 10/03/2023 11:02

Is this a reverse?
My advice to DC is LTB.
