Would you feel uncomfortable if your cleaner wore these?

My cleaner often wears quite revealing leggings, I wouldn't care except my husband often works from home and she also cleans his office which requires bending etc. She's also very attractive. It makes me feel uncomfortable and inferior but I don't feel like I can say anything to her. I personally don't feel this is professional for anyone to be wearing to work, except perhaps if you work in a gym or similar. What do others think? Would you be ok with it?

They are comfortable and practical for physical work. Why is your cleaner bending down around either of you when she's working - don't you get out of her way??

SeulementUneFois · 10/03/2023 06:49

Oh OP that's so petty of you.
I think there's a shortage of cleaners, hopefully you let her go so she doesn't have to put up with you.
How dare she be young and beautiful around your man.

VioletPickles · 10/03/2023 06:49

I’d be fine. It’s just leggings and probably comfortable for work.

Do you trust your DH? Your cleaning lady probably has absolutely zero interest in him.

name985 · 10/03/2023 06:50

Jesus Christ this is utterly ridiculous. They are sports leggings and many people wear them now.

Either you think your husband is a creep or you are insecure. Or both!

Let her wear what she wants.

MrsRR1 · 10/03/2023 06:50

This is a 'you' problem. Leggings are comfy and she can't help being attractive. Don't you trust your husband?

BeautifulWar · 10/03/2023 06:50

Get a grip, woman. Your insecurities, are not your cleaner's fault.

I think the leggings are revolting, by the way and would never choose to wear them myself, but she is within her rights to wear what she pleases.

Redebs · 10/03/2023 06:51

Those are an abomination in any setting!
You don't need to justify why they make you uncomfortable. A TA at my granddaughter's school wore some the other day. Horrible!
It's like wearing a big sign saying, 'Hey! Look at my buttocks!'
I would politely ask her to wear less revealing clothes in your house.

Donnashair · 10/03/2023 06:51

So your husband is a perv and it’s your cleaners fault and her legging fault 🙄

Pringleface · 10/03/2023 06:51

Please tell your cleaner you want to police her choice of workwear because you’re worried your husband may look at her. Then come back and tell us how it went.

Tofeelsick · 10/03/2023 06:51

Sorry OP, this is your problem, not your cleaners

SherbertDabs · 10/03/2023 06:51

I’d have a word with your husband if he’s perving over the poor cleaner. Grim.

LesserBohemians · 10/03/2023 06:51

My cleaner wears that kind of thing — comfortable and practical for physical work. And I can’t believe you would even want to make your jealousy and feelings of inferiority her issue.

HoppingPavlova · 10/03/2023 06:52

If she’s scrubbing my toilet I couldn’t give a shit if she wore a negligee quite frankly.

CupOfCake · 10/03/2023 06:52

Strange she didn't mind you taking that photo. I'd be more concerned by the lack of a top!

cariadlet · 10/03/2023 06:52

I think leggings would be very practical for cleaning.

Whether they are appropriate for workwear depends on what they are worn with. T-shirt or sweatshirt - fine. Lacy crop top - no.

Maybe you wouldn't worry about the outfit if you had a bit more self confidence and didn't compare yourself to the cleaner. Remember, your husband has chosen to be with you. You're the woman he is attracted to.

Streamside · 10/03/2023 06:52

Unfortunately, I think there's more issues than your cleaners leggings. Presumably your dog's not an animal with unbridled passions.

Bandanadrama · 10/03/2023 06:53

Is this what you were expecting?

Would you feel uncomfortable if your cleaner wore these?
Streamside · 10/03/2023 06:53

A Freudian slip by my autocorrect, your DH not your dog.

Phoebo · 10/03/2023 06:54

They're not just normal leggings they have a seam in the butt crack, so the cheeks are "defined" if you will 🤣 I totally acknowledge that it's a "me" issue and that I feel insecure. That's all I'm asking, so it sounds like most people wouldn't be bothered about it?

RunTowardsTheLight · 10/03/2023 06:54

It wouldn't bother me OP.

abyssofwoah · 10/03/2023 06:54

I’m not a major fan of those but you can’t tell her what to wear. Why is she cleaning in the office while he’s working there? Do you know for sure that doesn’t make her feel uncomfortable? If you feel uncomfortable/threatened with her in your home of course it’s your choice to change to a different cleaner but you can’t tell her what to wear because you feel inferior.

Dotcheck · 10/03/2023 06:54

The ‘up the bum/ camel toe ‘ isn’t a look I strive to emulate but others do. It’s a trend. You’d look like a total asshole and a creep if you told her to stop. Not sure what your husband has to do with it- surely he’s confronted by similar if he goes out in public?

DrMarciaFieldstone · 10/03/2023 06:55

Nope, wouldn’t care.

Work on your own ass if it makes you jealous

Redebs · 10/03/2023 06:55

But these aren't just leggings are they?
Leggings are practical and comfortable.
These are deliberately provocative, like a skintight tshirt with plunging neckline; designed for the male gaze. Totally inappropriate for work.

But they are normal leggings these days, it's a fashion thing, called a "scrunch bum" (really!). I agree with others, don't get worked up about this.
