Would you feel uncomfortable if your cleaner wore these?

My cleaner often wears quite revealing leggings, I wouldn't care except my husband often works from home and she also cleans his office which requires bending etc. She's also very attractive. It makes me feel uncomfortable and inferior but I don't feel like I can say anything to her. I personally don't feel this is professional for anyone to be wearing to work, except perhaps if you work in a gym or similar. What do others think? Would you be ok with it?

I have a pair of those didn’t quite realise the detail around the bum crack! Anyway I would never wear them outside they’re ridiculous and a bit gross I think. If you don’t like it then change cleaners. Ours comes in the summer basically wearing knickers for shorts but I know my husband not interested!

Donnashair · 10/03/2023 07:46

Pinkhorse1 · 10/03/2023 07:46

Sorry, but it says alot about her!

What does it say?

Jackieweaverslobsterphone · 10/03/2023 07:47

I don't think you can dictate what your cleaner wears. Unless it was underwear. It's beyond draconian. Is your DH like a toddler that you have to hide sweeties from him because he has no self control. People can look at attractive people. If you think he may proposition her, you've got bigger problems.

This thread is SO going to end up in the Daily Mail...

The Daily Mail is brain-rotting shite and Dacre is an arse.

ReformedWaywardTeen · 10/03/2023 07:38

Personally I hate those leggings with the scrunch at that bottom. It's just slutty.
Tell her she is welcome to wear trousers that don't have that and if she refuses get rid.

Wow. Are we living in the 1800s? Misogyny is still rife! I can not believe some of the comments on here or that the OP would even think it’s okay to tell her cleaner not to wear that. Yes, they are hideous but that’s besides the point. It’s your insecurities OP, so it’s your problem. I suggest you start working on your self esteem. You can not be running up to everyone that interacts with your husband and ask them to not wear (what you consider) inappropriate clothing around him for fear he may stray. Bonkers.

Luredbyapomegranate · 10/03/2023 07:48

I mean, I don’t like them, in that I don’t want to see the details of someone’s arse crack, but you can’t tell the self employed person that comes to your house for a couple hours a week what to wear.

I’m sure she’d prefer it if you and your husband got out of her way when she’s cleaning, so just do that? I also think the chances of her giving two shits what your husband thinks about her arse are negligible, so..

But if you really don’t like it, get a new cleaner

Redebs · 10/03/2023 07:48

Barelyable · 10/03/2023 07:01

@Redebs have we reverted to the 1800's? The Male Gaze? Poor men, not knowing where to look.
@Donnashair totally agree

I personally feel its inappropriate. There are many other comfortable clothes she could wear.

For those who are asking if the OP doesn't trust her husband, it's a bit like putting a piece of chocolate cake in front of someone and asking them not to eat it. Why not dress decently in first place, if you have some self respect!!

Oh poor little boy. The horrid woman makes him look at her arse, he just can’t help himself. Do you think rapists are exonerated because their victim wore a short skirt?

Fifi0000 · 10/03/2023 07:49

I've never thought about what my cleaners wear they often come when my DH is WFH , I work outside of the home.

MichelleScarn · 10/03/2023 07:50

Bandanadrama · 10/03/2023 06:53

Is this what you were expecting?

Maybe more this, and make sure she knows her place the hussy?!

Would you feel uncomfortable if your cleaner wore these?
GreenWheat · 10/03/2023 07:50

Leggings that go up your arse by design and choice are indeed a thing at the moment. Beggars belief! But that aside, why is your DH in the room when she's cleaning, most people vacate and go to a different room.

DrMarciaFieldstone · 10/03/2023 07:51

Pinkhorse1 · 10/03/2023 07:46

Sorry, but it says alot about her!

oh the irony

KillingLoneliness · 10/03/2023 07:52

It would bother me, I know I have very bad insecurities that I’ve been trying to work on for a very long time so due to this I wouldn’t have even hired her as I know I’d get myself worked up, it’s not worth the stress!

Trixiefirecracker · 10/03/2023 07:52

Men. They still can’t help themselves can they? Women you temptresses! Of course it’s the women’s fault. How dare she flaunt herself like that. Sacking is too good for her.

autumnboys · 10/03/2023 07:52

Phoebo · 10/03/2023 07:40

I wouldn't be bothered if it was on the street. Maybe I feel more "vunerable" because it's in my home 🤷‍♀️

I wonder though if she feels safe because she’s in someone’s home? Agree with other PPs that this is a look you see everywhere at the moment and for her she is doing physical work and should be comfortable.

Thoughtful2355 · 10/03/2023 07:52

Fucking hell, I thought this would be a fun light thread till I then saw pink post about likening the cleaner wearing comfy leggings to a bit of chocolate cake.
'He just couldn't help it m'lud, the cleaner wore leggings, what could he do with his carnal urges'... BLAME THE FEMALE!!! 🤬🤬

SheikYerboutiii · 10/03/2023 07:53

I wear these leggings. They’re control leggings. I have to do lots of bending, squatting etc. Only leggings that don’t fall down or move. And the only ones I can tolerate working in for a long time due to my sensory issues (ND). I’m not sure why people keep talking about chafing and wedgies because you’ve obviously never worn them, perhaps stick to things you’ve actually experienced?

I couldn’t give a flying fuck if some judgemental ringpieces think they’re “slutty” (check your misogyny) or inappropriate because they find the sight of a bum abhorrent. My comfort comes before your Pearl clutching

Fifi0000 · 10/03/2023 07:54

I wear leggings at home sometimes out , you are insecure has your DH cheated before? I genuinely wouldn't give it a second thought.

SaySomethingMan · 10/03/2023 07:54

JustRingJoeDuffy · 10/03/2023 07:28

Could be worse OP, at least she's not wearing these leggings!! 😯😳 😂

Oh no! She looks horrible!

My 12 year old wouldn’t eat food he knows he shouldn’t. Why do you believe grown men can’t do the same?

Do you believe men have no self control? That men are leaving their wives in droves because of these leggings? The men have no choice, they are the pied piper of clothing to men? Women all over the place popping in a pair of leggings, posing as cleaners and stealing husbands. The men have no choice. Poor poppets.

determinedtomakethiswork · 10/03/2023 07:54

It's making me laugh, all these people saying they wouldn't be bothered. It's completely inappropriate to wear something like that when you're working in someone's house. It's a place of work just like an office is. Just as the cleaner should be treated with respect from the employer so should the cleaner treat them with respect and dress properly for work.

ghostofchristmasfuture · 10/03/2023 07:55

I guarantee that your hot young cleaner isn't interested in your husband. You sound very controlling. Don't discriminate against her because she's young and beautiful. It's your problem, not hers. She's a cleaner, you're the one with all the power in this dynamic.

Fynoderee · 10/03/2023 07:55

You realise a cleaner is a self
employed person (or maybe employed by a cleaning company) but they are not your employee so you can’t tell them what they can/can’t wear.

If you don’t like the service she provides, find another.

As a cleaner, I’d be irritated by your husband being in the way when trying to clean his office.

KateAusten · 10/03/2023 07:56

When I see a woman with a nice arse I always have a good look and often point it out to DP who's always like a nice ass

There's no harm in looking
