I’ve been here 15 years and just find it all so nasty and toxic a lot of the time. The witty responses have gradually been replaced by snidey bitchiness much of the time, honestly it’s so depressing. People get jumped on all the time for asking for support.

Thats before we get to the way that womens rights are treated plus the whole sex forum fiasco.

Nobody seems to give a shit really at MNHQ and they have a like it or lump it mentality to valid concerns.

My gripes about snarky responses are site-wide and I am also totally fecked off with situation re the sex boards / dildo ads / general treatment of FWR / MNHQ etc

scales kind of fell from my eyes a bit when I went on there cos apparently it’s sooooo bitcheeeeee but actually felt nicer that many bits in MN 😂

Tattlers are savage towards influencers, etc, but seem to be so much more respectful of and supportive of each other on the whole!

Ive been here 20 years and don't think it's changed that much. I've never been on the sex board and I've never seen an ad for a sex toy. AIBU has always been aggressive. I am not put off by that but find that very few threads attract my attention as every topic has been done a million times before. I open threads and know exactly what the responses will be.

I had two or three nasty responses on a post I made recently under another username. Lots of useful responses too.

It's important to consider the source - I looked up both users' recent histories and both were very unhappy in their own lives, so likely just wanted to lash out.

I use reddit otherwise. It's definitely more men though.

Today alone I’ve seen three separate threads where people just needed support and were completely piled on. Lots of picking apart and arguing over semantics. One where the woman was clearly distraught. Thats not my bag. I find it depressing and stressful.

I know of more than one, and I post on those too. But since the very kind of people you are trying to avoid tend to seek those places out and cause aggro there as well, it isn't the sort of thing that gets much publicity. If you get my drift.
