To think this ‘valentines’ m&s meal is rubbish?

Would you be disappointed with this as your valentines ‘cheap’ meal? When you ask for steak, asparagus and escalopes and come back with this instead 🙄think the main is horrendous.

I think that's lovely and would happily eat it all except the cheesecake.

If they'd run out of steak it's fair enough.

Dh and Dd had that chicken last night and both really enjoyed it. The steak, even the sirloin, didn't look overly great tbh.

I don’t really see what’s wrong with it to be honest, although we’ll probably go for rack of lamb i’d be happy with what’s in your picture (red wine though not the pink fizz for me)

You said it was your Valentine’s cheap meal so as such it looks lovely. If you want steak and asparagus just buy that.

£12 from Tesco - Chicken in cabernet sauvignon, creamed spinach, 2 slices of lemon cheesecake and a bottle of prosecco. Just need to add some spuds or rice.
I wouldn't have been happy with that substitution and I think it's well expensive.

Steak, asparagus and escalopes is a bit weird. The cordon bleu just means with ham and cheese. It should be a chicken escalope though it may be more like a Kyiv, I can't tell from your photo.

I tried to order the meal deal from I ado and they were out of the steaks so I just didn’t bother (wanted meat steaks for DD and the fancy vegan ones for me and they didn’t have either left!)

Assuming it's a delivery substitute you should just reject it.

If they're out of stock they're out of stock.

Swap the prosecco I'd happily eat that. First choice would have been steak, but if they were sold out and I still wanted the lazy M&S dine in option rather than paying more for separates it is an acceptable alternative 🤷‍♀️
