Feeling disappointed that my Husband and teenage to adult kids forgot my Birthday.

I'm not surprised! They all forgot? That's unacceptable, what are they doing to make it up to you?

Pull them all up sharply on it. Say that you expect to be either taken out for a meal tonight or all get a nice takeaway with a large bottle of wine.

No chance in my house I have a month's countdown to it. Sof them and so something for yourself.

I always start reminding mine about a month beforehand so they don’t forget! They’re teens too and I know I’d be really hurt if they forgot so I avoid that by giving them a heads up so there’s no disappointment!

Id have to be pass agg about it and take myself out, can you just disappear to the cinema and message them after you’ve left to say “just taking myself out for my birthday” don’t tell them where you are that way they have to wait at home for a couple of house with their guilt. Bonus points if it’s over dinner time and they have to sort their selfish little selves out…
