My 15 year old is revising.

My 10 year old is vacuuming her bedroom.

My 9 year old is making New Years Day cards for the neighbours. (Don't ask!)

I'm sat on the sofa eating custard and cake. 😁

everyone Is still in bed

My 18 year old is fast asleep in bed and the cat is snoring on “his” blanket.

Everyone in pyjamas and on some kind of screen 😬

DD9 is doing Lego with DH

DS5 & DS3 are building a den

I’m ironing with a film on

DD3 is building towers out of toilet rolls. Yes she has plenty of bricks and blocks to play with 😂

That's usually the norm here 😉

Taking the tree down - it's a slow job

My mum and I are drinking coffee and looking at a map of Cambridge - DB has just been diagnosed with cancer and will be treated at Addenbrooks.

I'm having a coffee in the kitchen - still in pjs

DH is out volunteering at an event

DD (10) has gone out to play

DS (14) still in bed in his phone

I’m getting a haircut and hubby is out at soft play with our 14 month old baby😊

DD and DH are making a picture on her lite brite that she got for Christmas. I'm waiting for the kitchen floor I just mopped to dry so I can Hoover.

The house is unusually quiet!

I'm sitting in living room losing the will to live with toddler who is refusing to nap and being intermittently "sang" at and hit in the face by said toddler. 🤷‍♀️

They will then spend the rest of the day reading and giggling. (16 just and 15)

Im sat with bed hair and a brew, TV on but not actually watching

It's not the neighbours she's making cards for, it's me! 😄

DC and I have been up for a few hours, DH had a lie in and is now washing up. DS1 is playing Minecraft and DS2 is watching Preston on YouTube. I'm going to put a wash on, do a bit more of my jigsaw then get the DC off screens and doing something else. One of us needs to go to Tesco for bits to take to the NYE party we are going to this afternoon.

My 10 year old is translating some Ancient Greek text, in an attempt to track down the Holy Grail

Pyjamas and iPads everywhere. Should really empty the bins and change the beds but I'll leave that for next year!

Husband is sitting doing a crossword. That's it. Nobody else here, and it's lovely and quiet

The paaaain of this. Tinged with a little sadness because Christmas is over but I love that organised and tidy feeling afterwards 🙂

DP is in bed “sick”. I’m cleaning the house in preparation for our NYE guests.
