My 15 year old is revising.

My 10 year old is vacuuming her bedroom.

My 9 year old is making New Years Day cards for the neighbours. (Don't ask!)

I'm sat on the sofa eating custard and cake. 😁

I'm drinking coffee on the sofa in my dressing gown while mumsnetting.

6yo DD2 is wrapped in a blanket next to me, playing on her kindle and eating a chopped up apple, which was her request for breakfast.

10yo DD1 is upstairs in bed. Fairly sure she's awake, but hasn't surfaced yet.

DH has been out to football, come back, has a shower and is now making up the spare bed for our guests tonight and generally pottering around and putting the rest of us (me) to shame. Well done him. 😁

I’m drying my hair and wondering what to do with the kids (who don’t want to leave the house).

DD9 is playing with her barbies
DD11 is on a screen but is about to be forced into the shower

Dd1 is upstairs revising for Uni exams next week.

Im lying on the bed getting over a migraine and trying not to be sick.

DH is downstairs taking the tv unit off the wall to do a “5 minute job…” He will probably still be doing it an hour or two.

I’m folding laundry, DH has gone to the supermarket and 5 year old DD is having a whale of a time setting up a load of Lego in the living room for me to step on

My DH is attempting to install our new cooker. The guys had trouble getting it in the house but eventually managed. This may be a very long day.

I'm trying to motivate myself to start getting ready for friends visiting this evening. Have just sprayed shower screen with Viakal and now resting before I wipe it off

I'm still in PJs and drinking 2nd mug of coffee on the sofa.
DH is sprawled on other sofa scrolling his phone.
DD and her new boyfriend are in kitchen cooking bacon and eggs for us all.

I have finally put all the plates away from yesterday’s monster lunch.

Just sitting here reading MN.. kids (grown up) are still in their rooms.. kinda want to get rid of the tree / decs now & have a good clean up, but I think the kids would disown me.. ;-)

I'm in the living room watching episode 3 of Vienna Blood on iPlayer and trying to motivate myself to do a workout while it's on. Have just had two cups of tea and two mini mince pies (the last ones!)

Husband is thumping around the bedroom getting dressed and groaning about needing to bring the bins in as it's raining (but also windy so they're at risk of blowing away; I could do it but I brought him coffee in bed and got up with youngest so fair's fair). He has to log on and do a couple of hours work today.

I'm just back from the vet with our red setter after his 587th visit of 2022 (might be a slight exaggeration!). It's either a muscle injury or trapped nerve so either 10 days enforced rest or the first visit of 2023 on Monday for X rays. Oh joy.

Now eating a cold sausage while DP tries to fix the 3 non working burners on the stove. So far he's render 2 of the previously working ones inoperable. Bless him.

I am washing pyjamas and bedding after a terrible period disaster :-(

DH has only just got up and he and DS (10) are eating breakfast and watching Taskmaster.

I need to think about finding a home for all of the many presents that are piled up downstairs.

DH is cleaning the house, DS has gone for a rainy walk with some friends, I am eating orange kit kats and on MN, going to have to move in a minute as DH wants to mop the kitchen floor.

We're all having a really chilled morning after the Christmas chaos of guests and busyness.
Dh and I have had numerous coffees and breakfast in bed as has dd3 (17)who is chilling too with screens and dcat.
We had a meal out last night with dd1 who headed back to her flat afterwards.
It was a great time but we all slightly overindulged and are feeling very tired.
Plan on sorting the house today and dh and I are going to head to a furniture shop.
Dd will get herself ready for her and her friends epic New Year's Eve together.

We’ve got my DB’s lab staying and DH has taken him for a walk (I did the early shift!). I’m relaxing on the sofa with a cup of coffee and mumsnetting.

I'm sitting on the side of the bed wearing pjs and the new wellies I bought myself in the sales, which arrived this morning. I am also drinking a take out coffee that DH got me after dropping DSS at the station. DD is in the shower, DS1 is playing FIFA, DS2 is shouting because he can't find clothes and wants to go out (in the pouring rain) to play football in the park and DH has just responded to come upstairs and help him out.

I’m sat here alone my heart pounding having watched some of the devil in Ohio (genuinely feeling panicky and contemplating medication) house is all tidy as I’ve been up since 6am - partner has been delayed at work
and will hopefully be home soon ….. son will phone me soon, it’s become a ritual whilst I’m off work for Christmas he phoned me at least 3 x a day (he’s away at uni came home for Xmas but work and uni work means he had to go back even though he’s only in the nearest city) he phones because he knows my anxiety has peaked.

It's DD's birthday here so we all got up early to watch her open her pressies (well in my case, no earlier than usual!) DH took dog out and now watching TV. I've made a birthday cake, hung up a wash and chilled out with Wordle etc. Now we're waiting for the rain to stop so we can walk into town for lunch.

We've all had the flu so I'm in bed nursing a chest infection (immunocompromised). DH is downstairs feeling better for the first time since Xmas day and after much encouragement DD(15) has managed to get up to have a shower.

OH is on ASDA run, both boys in bed, more than likely on xboxes after probably being on them most of the night.

I'm about to get paint out to cover over some filling I've had to do on a wall. More than likely will rub down the woodwork in the hall ready for painting.

DS 9 being loud on the VR . I’m laid on settee reading mumsnet and waiting for washer to finish . DP at work . Thinking what to have for dinner

I've just had a bath.

DH is cooking.

DS12 has dressed up as a train guard and is role playing.

DD9 and DSD8 are being semi dragged into his game, but also eating gingerbread and watching TV.
