My 15 year old is revising.

My 10 year old is vacuuming her bedroom.

My 9 year old is making New Years Day cards for the neighbours. (Don't ask!)

I'm sat on the sofa eating custard and cake. 😁

Oh and I'm taking the tree down later

Watching the football. DD arriving tonight until tuesday so thinking about the buffet we will have tonight (cooking cocktail sausages and sausage rolls etc) Also going to have a nice long bath after the footy. Easing myself into the New Year!

I'm sat on my bed, just folded some washing and now trying to motivate myself to go and vacuum and tidy downstairs before DP comes over later.

DD is in her room on her PS.

DDog is snoring, Dcat is napping on my knee.

Ds (16) is procrastinating before showering and revising.

Dd (12) has just been decluttering her room with my forceful direction. 2 bin bags of clothes to charity shop! Now she's away out for a walk with dh.

I am reading my book and periodically roaring up the stairs to ds to get moving.

Cats are sleeping somewhere dreaming up their next plan of destroying the house.

I’m just about to go food shopping, my son is on his PS and the dog is sleeping. It’s pouring with rain so don’t really want to go out. Oh and I’m scrolling through MN in my coat before I brave the elements.

OH is playing guitar in the basement.

DS(4) is "napping" i.e. he's playing loudly with lego in his room until rest time is over.

DD(11) is on her phone in her room, having a break after helping me get food ready for tonight.

I'm having a sit down and a cup of tea while I wait for the sauna to heat up. Need to finish prepping food but the kettle was calling me.

Dd16 has ridden her horse and is now in the bath trying to warm up
Dd20 is working in a coffee shop earning money before she goes back to uni next week
Dh is doing various chores
I am on the sofa with a dog, thinking that I must get up and go and see poorly horse and walk it up and down in the rain for 20 minutes but would rather be eating cheese.

We’re both still in bed. We’ve been really ill for about 10 days. Feeling a bit better now but still nowhere near well enough to be properly up and about.

DS2 is fast asleep snoring on top of me whilst I'm laying on the sofa on my phone. He snuggled in cause he said he was cold.

DS1 is plugged into his Xbox.
DH is upstairs - not sure what he's doing.
DDog is laid on the floor by me, also snoring!
Problem being - I'm getting hungry but can't move!

My son has just surfaced after his night out and is surfing the kitchen cupboards for food. I’m looking at hairstyles on the internet as I can’t decide on getting my hair cut short again .

Teenagers in bed. DH stropping around trying to fix things but doing everything in the wrong order, so doing everything twice or causing an extra job. We are having a party tonight. He has totally got his knickers in a twist. Very funny. He is like Basil Faulty I'm obviously not laughing in front of him.

DH is upstairs gaming and singing to the cat. I'm on the sofa, also playing a game on my laptop while I half-watch a documentary on TV. Candles are on, curtains are drawn. Hibernating today, letting myself be slow and cosy after a brutal year, ready to start again tomorrow.

It’s 7 in the morning and I’ve barely slept even though I have to get up in an hour and a half to go to work. (I’m a clerk in a liquor store) I’ve barely slept because I’m waiting for one of my cats to go into labor and I’m so excited and worried!

DH is asleep.
DS 15 is asleep too, after being up far too late completing the Lego bonsai tree he got for Christmas and forcing me to look at TikToks.
DD 9 is asleep, fitfully, because she has a terrible sore throat and I might have to bring her in to see if it’s strep tomorrow.
DS 7 is asleep, but I think I hear him stirring, so I’m sure he will be up soon and trying to find Pokémon on the tv.

I'm hiding in my bedroom with ginger tea and an unpleasantly gippy tummy. Dh has taken over and cancelled my sister coming over tonight. He's been to B&M for cat litter and coffee to save me having to move far, just made the kids lunch and shovelled the washing on.

Pretty standard Saturday for him really. Me not so much.

Pub lunch whilst the littles have an afternoon with the grandparents! We don’t go out NYE but we do like a glass of wine and a breather whilst we talk plans for next year.

If he gets a tree branch and gives something "a damned good thrashing", that's the time to dissolve into hysterics.

Cleaning prior to going away for new year. Kids are packing huge suitcases... we're going an hour down the road for two nights.

I am doing my nut trying to programme my new TV. I've never had a modern TV before. I cant remember my netflix, amazon or you tube passwords.

To be fair I am in my 60s. Has anyone got a small child I can borrow to do it for me?
