My 15 year old is revising.

My 10 year old is vacuuming her bedroom.

My 9 year old is making New Years Day cards for the neighbours. (Don't ask!)

I'm sat on the sofa eating custard and cake. 😁

My 10 year old dd is making a tray bake using the cookery book and equipment she got for Xmas - she is really into cooking and baking and getting really good at doing it independently (this is a massive source of pride for me, I won't even lie).

The dog is following her around the kitchen hoping she drops some stuff.

My husband is in bed as he is not feeling well. I am hoping he will get up soon as we have a restaurant booking.

I am sitting on my fat arse on the sofa with a coffee texting and looking at Facebook and on here (obviously).

DH gone to bed after a few beers.

DC (23yo and 16yo) are upstairs watching a video together after having a massive tidy-up in preparation for the arrival of the DC1's boyfriend from abroad, who will be staying for a week. The DC are swapping bedrooms temporarily so DC1 and their BF can use DC2's big bedroom instead of the box room.

They're so sweet together. DC2 is totally chuffed to have older sibling back from uni for a few weeks. We're all delighted at the prospect of seeing DC1's BF. What with Covid and all, we haven't seen him for years.

Ds is pottering around upstairs having just sorted out a load of washing for the machine. Dd is watching Ghosts and eating chocolate even though we'll be eating shortly. Dh is sorting out the fridge to make room to put more drinks in and I'm sitting on the sofa having just laid the table. Our takeaway will be arriving in half an hour or so and then we'll get changed into pyjamas and do board games and maybe a film

My daughter is working on her big A level art part 1 final and asking my opinion on a few changes. It's a drum shaped painting but this is a mock up and laid out is about 8 foot so is stretched over the dining room table and chair. Trying to keep the cats from jumping up!

Watching Olga da Polga

I've polished off a load of Xmas nuts & snacks while drinking port. Dh & ds watching football & their screens. Ds slightly relieved that his night out has been called off due to illnesses. These youngsters have no stamina!

DH about to have a bath having spent all day plastering and wiring. He fell off a ladder earlier and is a bit sore, poor sod.
I'm considering what to make out of leftovers for tea. Then I'll have a bath as have been sanding and painting.
Then wine. Then sleep.

On sofa with 2 dogs with stuffed pork steak and roasties in oven. Dd15 making and eating churros. Ds13 just got up, I think he might be a vampire. Dh out somewhere with his sister who has SN and is staying with us for a few days.

We’ve been out for afternoon tea/lunch in a winter ‘pod’. DS (13) has just got home after popping round to his mates for an hour. DH just got back from an hour in the pub. DD (11) and I have put washing away, tidied up and laid the table for dinner.

All four of us now on screens in front of the TV before we get dinner ready. Smoked salmon starter, followed by Turkish kebabs, salad and flat breads.
