To ask you to show me your Dressing table

I'm looking for a new more modern dressing table as mine is over 30 yrs old and quite large and dark.
I'm going round in circles.
Anyone bought one recently and where from

Do people have dressing tables? I don't think I've ever had one. I'm not even entirely sure what they are, like, do you mean those tables with mirrors you see in period dramas, where people sit and brush their hair and admire themselves while their husband pads up behind them and slips a surprise heirloom diamond necklace round their neck?

I have the IKEA one. It’s great 👍🏻 I can’t imagine NOT having a dressing table tbh!

The contents of a dressing table for me are stored in a large basket behind my mirror.

Actually we have 2, my old one didn't fit when we moved so migrated to the spare room. It's a lovely proper vintage one, walnut I think.

New one is actually two very narrow chests of drawers with a reinforced glass top between them, and a big light up mirror on top.

Not sure what's so ridiculous about wanting a space to sit down and do hair/makeup tbh...

I have a dressing table! Can’t imagine not having one! Have an ikea one - storage not amazing so have make up organisers on top, but it’s very pretty with a big mirror :)

We're about to get our bedroom done and I'm going to get a talk chest of drawers to stand at rather than the 1990s monstrosity I have now. Padded box stool...lovely!

I'd love a dressing table, really wanted one when we moved house but bedroom configuration didn't work. Doesn't help you op, but I hope you find something! Have you tried doing a search on console tables? That might throw up some options.

I have a bathroom windowsil

I have an antique washstand. I don't fancy fighting for space in the bathroom...not sharing a photo though, everything is covered in dust...

The usual suspects, Wayfair, Argos, do them. Wayfair runs to 30 pages of them so the ‘what! are you 90??’ response is a bit odd.

I have a beautiful chest of drawers and two bedside cabinets from the Cotswold company that I have my hairbrush and a few other bit on top of.

not only is it a lovely colour with a natural wood finish on the top, but it’s proper solid. No MDF or self assemble rubbish.

I’d expect no plans to change it…ever.

pricey but worth every Penny in my opinion. I highly recommend.

Mine's a chest of drawers - make up and jewellery on top, clothes within. Also too messy to post a pic.

I have this one, but it's about 5/6 years old
And extra storage beside it as I have a LOT of makeup

I did see some in Ikea and one of my relatives put two white unit s from Ikea together but yours look more grown up.
I have drawers either sides on mine so a bit cumbersome .
