To ask you to show me your Dressing table

I'm looking for a new more modern dressing table as mine is over 30 yrs old and quite large and dark.
I'm going round in circles.
Anyone bought one recently and where from

I've recently bought this one from La. Redoute. I've never had a dressing table before and don't wear make up but my joints are so stiff and aching these days that I was fed up with sitting on the floor to dry my hair. The only problem is that I've still not found a stool to go with it so I'm still sitting on the floor!

I have this one and use it everyday

I have a vintage Minstrel dressing table, with drawers at either side and a pull out jewellery tray in the middle. Sorry, no photo, just had a takeaway and can't be bothered to move.
Everyone knows better than to mess with anything on my dressing table, my lotions and potions are safe from teen DD's and it's also home to my sentimental knickknacks. I have my hairdryer and straighteners hanging on hooks next to my dressing table.

I like the ritual of sitting at my dressing table mirror at night, putting my various creams on whilst thinking 'fuck me when did I get this old' and 'why has someone stuck a photo of an old hag on my mirror' 😂

Here is mine.
I have mine in the bay window of the front bedroom. A quick glance at all the other houses near me shows that they aren’t that uncommon.

My issue with a dressing table is you are seated quite far back from the mirror and my eyesight is that bad that I cannot see without my glasses on to apply makeup. So I prefer to stand and be an inch away instead!

DH made me one after years of not having one.It’s attached to the wall under the window and has two legs. I put some baskets of makeup and my mirror on it but I still sit on the bed to do my make up. Hard habit to break as I’m now 51!

I think I'd like the space to have one but I get ready for work first so can't have the right lights on to do my make up so have usually just do it standing in the bathroom. I need to be really close to the mirror as well so not sure sitting at a mirror would work. For hair, again need to stand so wherever I've lived, it's been standing at whichever mirror has the socket closest.

Dunelm have some nice ones on their website. I bought my dressing table and mirror separately, similar to attached photos...

Pretty sure I'm not 90 and I have one. Declining to show a picture as it's a complete mess.
I recently changed it to the malm ikea desk with drawer.

I have this it’s from Oliver bonas the mirror is separate but from there as well

I have had mine 25 years.
Its a solid oak one with 3 drawers on the side and an oak framed mirror.

I couldn't possible post a picture as im having a sort out and you cant see it for "stuff" until i finish off tomorrow.

But they do some really nice modern ones. I love the one a PP posted of the white one with circular drawers that come out.

Had you said make up table the ignorant posts would have been far less I think..... I knew what you meant though and am currently planning mine for when we do the bedroom currently have an IKEA one with a drawer but I want/need more storage

Dd has a mid century one bought on eBay for about fifty quid. I have serious envy. It has a huge mirror, cupboards on either sides and a drawer in the middle full of compartments designed for different sized cosmetics and make up.

I am late 30s and have one. love it. it's the ikea table with glass top and drawer plus the tower of drawers beside it. use it every single day

I like the idea but my house isn't big enough. I used to have a bedside table where I put my hairdryer but then DH started WFH and now I have his desk next to my pillow. On the plus side I stopped using a hairdryer which is better for my hair.

I have this problem too but get around it by Having a smaller LED magnifying mirror to one side for doing eye make up etc and another very large mirror propped on the dressing table for doing hair, over all makeup.
