To think you can only be glamorous if you are slim?

I just can't think of one large or fat person who I would consider classy and glamorous.
I can think of loads of larger women who I would consider very pretty or beautiful but not glamorous.
I am fat by the way so not trying to shake anyone, just sad that I'll never be glam!

Actually is Lizzo glamorous? She may well be glamorous so maybe there's hope for me yet

Yes, you are unreasonable to think this. How can you re-frame your definition of glamorous to include yourself, and other women of all shapes and sizes? I'm sure you are beautiful and could look glamorous if you wanted to!

in all seriousness I suppose it depends what you thinks differentiates pretty, beautiful and glamorous? If you think it includes size / figure, then I suppose you’ll never meet anyone who ticks your boxes.

I think curvy women can definitely look glamorous. Opera singer types often do.

I'd almost say it's the other way round. For me, glamour would be dramatic curves.

None of them are size 20 plus either. They’re all about size 12 I expect.
I think it depends if your curvy or have a huge stomach for example. If your in proportion I think you can look good.
If obese, then no (sorry).

@frostytimes I think you might be muddling up "glamorous" and "elegant". Anyone can look glamorous. Fat people rarely look elegant.

I'd say many overweight women are glamorous and classy and beautiful. Melissa McCarthy plays the opposite roles but in herself is ridiculously glam if you ask me

ah maybe that's the word I was trying to remember. There's definitely a 'colder' word that I associate with slim only. Elegant fits the bill there!

Yes Lizzo is definitely glamorous. She is super confident “don’t mess with me” Which I’d associate with glamour and knowing your worth.

I’d say Lizzo was sexy first, then glamorous (and very bright obviously).

Also Liz Taylor was curvy - for periods of time extremely rounded and she was very glamorous and beautiful.
