To think you can only be glamorous if you are slim?

I just can't think of one large or fat person who I would consider classy and glamorous.
I can think of loads of larger women who I would consider very pretty or beautiful but not glamorous.
I am fat by the way so not trying to shake anyone, just sad that I'll never be glam!

Maybe OP isn't a fat person apologist. I get annoyed with people defending fat people when it's widely acknowledged that being overweight has serious health implications. Also overweight people generally don't have the same level of fitness or mobility. And generally don't look as attractive. Might be harsh but it's true.

And yes, all the beautiful actresses already described! It's an attitude and way of putting yourself together.

I think Aretha Franklin was glamorous no matter what her size was.

I think being fat makes it harder to be glam if you can't afford fancy clothes, but Adele proves glam is about the person. She was glam when she was overweight, and she's still glam now she's thin.

Anyone I've known in real life who I have thought of as "glamorous" has been bigger - I don't think size comes into it at all!

don’t put yourself down. Anyone can be glamouros. Everyone looks beautiful in 1930-1940s styles.

I wouldn't say she exudes glam on a day-to-day basis (she dresses well for her shape, but that's not the same thing as glam), BUT she does scrub up well when she wants to. If she's going to a swanky awards do or similar, she can make herself look glam.

I once knew a woman in real life who looked glam all the time. She was normal size (i.e. not overweight but not skinny), but something about her just always sparkled. It's hard to define what.

I think it's quite rare to have that sparkle full-time - most people can only hope to get it when they put a shit ton of effort in, and most people can't be faffed with that.

exactly 😂 Beyoncé and Marilyn and many others on this list are slim curvy but definitely not fat. Not being shaped like a pencil does not equal large! There is maybe one or two fat women on this list at most.

Rebel Wilson has lost a lot of weight btw so she’s no longer large but if you mean the old Rebel yeah

Lmao at Marilyn Monroe being fat. Her waist was 22 inches! And the photos where she looks a bit bigger were from just before she miscarried.

I'm a size 6 and it certainly doesn't automatically come with glamour.
