To not solve 13 year olds Halloween fancy dress

DS needs a costume for tomorrow.

Nothing I have suggested is suitable.

I can't do anything about Amazon delivery times

We are skint.

I can't sew.

DS is upset but I've said he needs to be creative.

However - if you have any great free ideas I'll take 'em.

At 13 he shouldn't need a Halloween costume!

It's for a fancy dress party at his friends house tomorrow, not trick or treating.

What does he want to go as?
Poundland have some good masks and bits if you could afford that

get a box, decorate it as an electricity bill and pop it over his head.

He should go in his normal clothes and tell them he's a serial killer.

Some old clothes ripped - use some of your make up to make a whitened face, lipstick for "blood" & dark eye shadow for sunken eyes etc?

Just trying to think of something you'll have at home & won't cost.

He could take the Wednesday Addams route:

"This is my costume. I'm a homicidal maniac, they look just like everyone else"

He can do what Wednesday Addams did - wear normal clothes and if anyone asks then he can tell them he’s dressed as a homicidal maniac - they look just like normal people.

Is there an age limit I'm not aware of?

Old clothes, fake blood - zombie
black clothes - fake fangs and white makeup, vampire - if you have an old lipstick use that to add some blood effect
(fake blood and fake fangs can be found on Poundland)
old style - old sheet = ghost
old sheet and scissors = bandages = mummy

He could go as retro Halloween:

Bin bag or bedsheet costume

Bit of boot polish old shirt and be a chimney sweep / miner any other mucky jobs.

At 13, if get him to contact friends who are going. He may find out that no-one is doing anything more than fake blood on a worn out school shirt. Or he may find they have something extra that he can borrow.
