What’s a subtle sign that a person is a good person?

As in you can just tell they are good people in an average situation.

Including people around them in conversations when appropriate.

My personal view. If they are good to animals and don’t eat them . On the other end of the scale people who abuse animals are often the same with children . Evil.

If they’re kind to those serving them

Not talking about themselves overall
Being inclusive

Polite to people serving them

Don't talk about themselves all the time

Kindness, consideration, humility and ability to laugh at themselves.

Nice to animals and waiting staff / receptionists.

Clean shoes.

When they surround themselves with good people. On my first date with my husband we bumped into a group of his friends who were out and they were just so lovely and welcoming and just really good people and I knew he was a keeper from just seeing him with them.

Also, if someone is on their own and they put themself out for a stranger. Perhaps offer to make up the money for a coffee if they're behind someone struggling with payment in a cafe or taking a little extra time to chat to an elderly person that o

Clean shoes seems a weird one. I’d say if anything the opposite. I think people I know who don’t really care about their shoes being clean are more likely to be kind and generous than those who are always spotless. I know a couple of people who are totally preoccupied with fashion and looks and always have clean and expensive shoes, but they’re also often rude to people they see as below them and more preoccupied with status and wealth and how they come across on social media than they care about kindness or being polite or inclusive.
