To find Asda rewards annoying

Asda has a new rewards app! I wont be downloading but

When you go round the store you might see a price say on a tub of roses or celebrations for £1. Thats the price you pay if you have a reward not the normal price.

You have to look really hard to see what the normal price is and they are all over the store. At first glance you will think the tub is a pound, you know it cant be but its prominent and makes you think its a pound. So you have to search out the normal price!

Wish they would stop all these reward apps too its very discriminatory to people who dont have apps and who still spend money.

Sainsburys is best where you have a card if you want to join a loyalty scheme and fair to all.

not really, its still confusing to have all different prices everywhere in the shop.

It isn't once you have read the information on the app. They even have leaflets in Asda to explain how it works

I'm happy with the Asda app, I've earned just under £10 in a week. I've got 6mnths to.convert my rewards to a voucher. I'll not convert it till nearer Christmas and should help quite a bit towards the big food shop.

I think it is discriminatory as I spend about £500 a month (at the moment anyway) in Asda but I don't have a smart phone so I have to miss out. Just offer a card to those that want them.
On a side note Coop loyalty scheme is good and they have both an app and a card.

It's not discrimination fgs
Not having smart phone is a choice not like sex or race etc.

Then someone would moan about card being non suitable for them for whatever reason. No one can make everyone happy. Either crack on with app or accept it's not an offer for you.

And stop saying discrimination

I have this & it's great but I now have 3 different Asda apps on my phone so it would be good if they could combine them into one!

That's brilliant!! Long time since I used nappies but will you get that every time and how long does a pack last?

I asked at the till if I can build up all my points for Christmas and I was told no. It was explained the app went live in august so I have 6 months to use the amount and convert to a voucher, then I have 30 days to spend the voucher. It's a shame as I would have definitely built up for Christmas food shop for the years worth of shopping, at least I can do 6 months though!

Isn't Christmas less than six months from august? I'm confused!

But isn't Christmas less than 4 months away (eek!)? So well within the 6 months?

Sorry I realise you mean subsequent years! I suppose you could spend the vouchers but put the saving away for Christmas?

I'm not sure they could make it much clearer that the price is £4 and you can get £1 with of rewards.

I find it annoying the way people don’t bother to understand how the Asda app works before they start a post on MN.

It’s so simple.

I have £35 in my cash pot that I wouldn’t have had before. No effort at all. I’m saving up my rewards until Christmas, so it will help me a lot. It’s a great scheme.

Do a bit of research op, and start building your cashpot!

If you save your rewards, then change into vouchers from 2nd December -24th December you get 10% more ( Christmas boost)

It's really good, actually! We've only been using it for two or three shops and had like £9 in cash pot when I looked. I just checked again and the last shop I got £5 back from (£100 shop) just buying my usual stuff.

And Tesco was really good when they doubled the vouchers for paying for mobile phone bill if you were with Tesco Mobile, but sadly they stopped that recently Sad

@girlmom21 again people who don't want a ne tar card or a club card don't get the same rewards!

You're like a stuck record!

You've got a smart phone, so you don't want to use the app then don't!

No one is obliged to accept the rewards that supermarkets offer, it's a free choice!

You've chosen not too (god knows why not as you've got a smart phone, but it's your choice), all the more rewards for the rest of us!

God sake I know you tagged me by accident but stop it - people will think I'm OP Grin
