To not want neighbours touching my parcels

AIBU to not want neighbours touching my parcels.

I live in a big converted town house. There is a flat on each floor. I live on the second floor.

My neighbour who lives in the attic (5th floor) always seems to touch my parcels.

All post is delivered by the main entrance way on the ground floor. When he walks past to collect his parcels, he picks up any other ones that belong to other flats, and drops them off outside their front doors on the way up to his.

Is he Edward Scissorhands? 🙄

withlotsoflove · 31/08/2022 12:02

😂
bless your unusual perspective!

Cigarettesaftersex1 · 31/08/2022 12:03

What a bastard he is

x2boys · 31/08/2022 12:03

You sound a bit precious ,maybe just ask him not to do this?

SplashparkSummer · 31/08/2022 12:04

That sounds quite nice if him.

ihatethefuckingmuffin · 31/08/2022 12:04

Why not?
They are doing you a favour carrying up all your parcels.
If you don’t want this just talk to the person and let them know you will carry them up yourself.

Hidingawaytoday · 31/08/2022 12:04

Well that's jolly nice of him. My ndn brings our bin in if he gets to it first (and vise versa if I'm out first)

antwacky · 31/08/2022 12:04

That just sounds like a nice neighbourly thing to do.

Is he Edward Scissorhands? 🙄

🤣🤣🤣

Crotonifolia · 31/08/2022 12:04

Call 101 and log it.

Icelandeesh · 31/08/2022 12:04

He’s being nice. Do you mind the delivery driver touching them? You know a lot of them wee in bottles in their vans as they don’t have time for toilet stops?

Wannabegreenfingers · 31/08/2022 12:05

Your neighbour sounds lovely.

BigSandyBalls2015 · 31/08/2022 12:05

Is it because of The Covid?

Saucery · 31/08/2022 12:05

He sounds really helpful. But if you don’t want that nice neighbourly help then a polite note where the post goes should do the trick. “Please leave all post and parcels for No. x where they are, thank you”

Hugasauras · 31/08/2022 12:05

He sounds lovely. You sound like a knob.

galacticpixels · 31/08/2022 12:05

When we lived in an apartment block sometimes a neighbour would do this and I always appreciated it.

adhdforme · 31/08/2022 12:05

That's very kind of him OP. What's you're issue. Do you think he doesn't wash his hands when he wipes his bum or something?

Just imagine all of the hands that have touched those parcels enroute anyway. Without having more context on this YABU

x2boys · 31/08/2022 12:05

People really do live charmed lives .

PeasOff · 31/08/2022 12:06

He no doubt has to check the names to see what belongs to him and others and thinks he's doing you a favour by putting yours outside your door.

You're being ridiculous.

KimberleyClark · 31/08/2022 12:06

Why are you worried about him touching the outside of your parcels? He won’t be touching the contents.

DappledThings · 31/08/2022 12:06

Hugasauras · 31/08/2022 12:05

He sounds lovely. You sound like a knob.

Sums it up nicely.

Meraas · 31/08/2022 12:07

Oh boy. Where to even start with this one...

golddustwomen · 31/08/2022 12:07

@Cigarettesaftersex1 I agree with both your comment and your username Grin

ZeroFuchsGiven · 31/08/2022 12:07

What an absolute twat of a neighbour you have!

TugboatAnnie · 31/08/2022 12:07

Why don't you want him to touch them? Are they dildo-shaped? Does he use his fingers as toilet paper? Are you weird in other ways?
