To not want neighbours touching my parcels

AIBU to not want neighbours touching my parcels.

I live in a big converted town house. There is a flat on each floor. I live on the second floor.

My neighbour who lives in the attic (5th floor) always seems to touch my parcels.

All post is delivered by the main entrance way on the ground floor. When he walks past to collect his parcels, he picks up any other ones that belong to other flats, and drops them off outside their front doors on the way up to his.

Georgeskitchen · 31/08/2022 12:39

Does he have leprosy?

FlibbertyGibbitt · 31/08/2022 12:40

Yes but what’s in the parcels ?

10HailMarys · 31/08/2022 12:42

He'll be saying a polite hello to you on the stairs next, the evil shit.

mountainsunsets · 31/08/2022 12:43

They're already back in Scotland so at least we know it's not one of ours.

How do you think your parcels get delivered?

Hesma · 31/08/2022 12:44

How dare he be considerate and helpful… time to move!!!!!!

3peassuit · 31/08/2022 12:45

It’s a considerate neighbourly thing to do. YABVVU.

viques · 31/08/2022 12:46

Just buy* him a hazmat suit, gloves and a mask and ask him nicely to make sure he wears them when he delivers your parcels. I would also ask him to hoover the common areas of the block in case he has been within dander distance of a dog that you might or might not be severely allergic too.

*if you buy on line make sure his name is on the parcel so he doesn’t deliver it to you out of the kindness of his heart and infect you with IIPD ( instant infected parcel death.)

Redglitter · 31/08/2022 12:47

What's the problem? it's not like he's opening them or using them as an excuse to talk to you. He's doing a nice thing I cant see why you object

Wouldloveanother · 31/08/2022 12:47

Such a MN thread 😂 😂 😂

butterflied · 31/08/2022 12:47

Wavygravy1 · 31/08/2022 12:48

Unless he’s touching them with his willy YABU

Novum · 31/08/2022 12:50

I've got bad news for you, OP. Your parcel gets touched by loads of people at the supply end in the course of packing it up and sending it out, and then again by more people when it's delivered. Even stuff you buy in shops has been touched by people. It's unavoidable.

Cheerybigbottom · 31/08/2022 12:52

Are you buying dirty things and worrying he'll read the label? I always Google the labels on my neighbours parcels (when I take them in) cos i am nosey.

JimmyShoo · 31/08/2022 12:53

What an arsehole. Must be awful being neighbours with such a monster.

I can't get the image out of my head of a nasty little man in a greasy black suit standing at a table full of parcels, stroking them in a 'loving' way while licking his lips and looking over his shoulder in a weaselly, furtive manner.

WeepingSomnambulist · 31/08/2022 12:58

What a lovely neighbour. Lucky you!
