I signed up to hellofresh free box when the codes were going about, forgot to cancel but I always keep my money in savings and transfer if needed anyways and they’ve sent me 2 boxes which I haven’t paid for and aren’t meals I’d eat and are now chasing payment for them. Has anyone else had this issue?

@FleursSechees right and if I don’t pay my Disney+ subscription they stop me using it. They don’t give me 2 months usage extra then demand me to pay it after

But they stop you having the goods, they wouldn't reimburse you if you kept it for two months and then promised you'd not watched it?

It's hardly a good comparison?

I'm guessing that this was sarcastic

To be honest this isn't about what's morally acceptable and what's not morally acceptable. This is a well known tactic that they tell you about before you actually tick the box and everything to agree to it. So that you're aware of it beforehand. So you have agreed to it. If you didn't agree to them doing that perhaps it would have been best to just not take part at all

Surely they’d have just taken payment from the card you signed up with? Or have you cancelled/changed the card?

You also didn't need to accept delivery of two boxes.

If one had been delivered maybe it would be more understandable, but you had two boxes.
To me it sounds like you though as the money wasn't in your account and they could t take it you could just gey away with having them and not paying.

This is how subscriptions work, they keep sending them until you cancel.

This is your own mistake, you need to pay and cancel.

This is not a tesco delivery or online shopping where you oay in advance, that is not how all subscriptions work.

Right, now I understand why you didn't flag it up after the first box arrived - you clearly thought you'd conned the system and were getting boxes for free, and now they want their money (rightfully so), you're fuming over it 😂😂

Right can no one see where I’m coming from? You pay for things before you buy them. You don’t order a Tesco shop, payment doesn’t go through and you still get it anyway. It seems a bit scammy they’re doing this to people who clearly signed up to a free trial and forgot to cancel

It's not a scam , you didn't read the offer properly. Most people know once the free trial ends and you don't cancel it you have to start paying.
Lots of subscriptions work like this.

It has nothing to do eith morals, you signed a contract when you took out the free trail that said unless cancelled you will get sent more boxes that will be charged.

You didn’t cancel.
You didn’t read the terms and conditions.
You need to pay and stop whining.

This is literally how subscription services work. You sign up once. They keep sending you stuff and charging for it until you cancel. You are being massively over-entitled if you expect special treatment on this. Just pay.

I had a free trial of Disney+ if I didn’t cancel before it ended Disney would charge me. Exactly the same principle.

It’s a subscription service, you complete various meal preference types when you enrol, if you don’t log in, and change them weekly, they send you this weeks recommended recipes. If you haven’t already, you must cancel immediately, or they will again, send you this weeks recommendations.

ever heard the saying if it’s to good to be true….it probably is

Probably best to cancel the subscription now & give them a call and complain if you go on as much as you have on here they’ll probably give you a refund to get you off the phone
