Anyone else sick to death of the heat?

I know there have been numerous threads on this already but OMG, I cannot taking this sodding heat any more. I actually feel sick today because it's so oppressive and I can't get anything done around the house, which is like a furnace. Normally it's like this for a few days in the summer before cooling again, but it's been about six weeks of intense heat now in the south-east.

It's looking like tomorrow is the last of it thankfully - I sodding well hope so.

Anyone else completely fed-up?

It's going to be 12 on Tuesday here, CANT WAIT! I'm so done with the 30.

Yes a million times. I had the week off work and I’m furious as I’ve wasted it because I’ve done literally nothing but sit in front of fans and feel miserable. I’m moving up north, I’ve had enough!

Nah I like it. Probably because I imagine there's a good 6 months of cold wet weather on its way.

Agreed @rainbowmilk . If next summer is like this I will genuinely be considering that. It’s been at the back of my mind for many years anyway.

9 months pregnant. Fuck this shit. The worst of it is I know I'm better to stay pregnant than try to birth, breastfeed and keep cool a newborn in this heat. Also still suffering the after effects of a really bad bout of covid and have 2 other DC to chase 🥵 #pityparty

I’m definitely done. The heat is inescapable and everything outside looks dying and depressing.

We’ve been forecast rain a few times over the past few weeks that failed to materialise so I’m suspicious of predictions for next week but may actually have a tantrum if we don’t.

Yep. So so done with it. I long to feel cool and non sticky with sweat. Am desperate for at least 5 hours of deep sleep and waking refreshed.

I will try to recall the horridness of this when we're freezing in winter and can't afford to ramp up the heating! You can put on clothes to get warmer - you can't take anything else off when you're already stark naked 😏

It’s horrible. There’s a thread on here about someone who’s partner can’t function in the heat. And some people aren’t very nice about him.

I won’t mind a bit in winter as I barely have the heating on as it is. I use a hot water bottle and layer up and that’s enough for me. My body is built for the arctic it seems. 😂

I think anyone enjoying it has to be mad to be honest, I don't know anyone who is - me included! There's summer weather and there's this... It's just uncomfortable relentless heat, not nice, sunny weather.

I love it! Me and the DC have had a brilliant few weeks enjoying the sunshine before we go abroad next week. I wish every summer was like this. Dreading the cold weather coming. We always go abroad for new year too as we hate the cold.

I love the heat during the day but it makes me sad to see our garden and countryside looking so poorly.

Same here. Thank heavens I'm going on holiday somewhere hot after it cools down here.

32c in n Wales but it's clouded over which is blissful so temperature falling we're not good in heat as a nation. Thank god we have four seasons

This. I think a lot of people don’t realise how debilitating these conditions are for some.

I feel like it's ruined the kids school holidays;we've not been able to do much after we've spent most of it in 28+ degree heat but 30+ has made things unbearable.

One of children has a medical condition that causes heat intolerance which hasn't been fun for them as their really struggling;I'm dreading it;hot summers like this usually cause a warm September/October then lead into a horrifically cold winter sort of skipping autumn

How far north? I'm north and it's 32 today. Absolutely hideous. Slept under a soaking wet sheet last night. Hideous but heavenly at the same time. 1 more sleep and then we're done!
