Anyone else sick to death of the heat?

I know there have been numerous threads on this already but OMG, I cannot taking this sodding heat any more. I actually feel sick today because it's so oppressive and I can't get anything done around the house, which is like a furnace. Normally it's like this for a few days in the summer before cooling again, but it's been about six weeks of intense heat now in the south-east.

It's looking like tomorrow is the last of it thankfully - I sodding well hope so.

Anyone else completely fed-up?

It’s lovely in London today, 28 degrees and toasty warm but not boiling.

Another day out ruined by the bloody heat !! Went to a park/farm for a picnic hoping for cooler weather which was forecast but it was blisteringly hot, walking round drained me and my dd. Fed up with it now. Cooler weather please.

It’s the humidity that’s killing me. The air feels thick all the time.

Totally sick of it. Despite being predicted rain and cool temperatures. It continues to be boiling hot and sunny. Day after day:Prediction 19 degrees. Actual 26.

Honestly, I think the British love a good complain more than they hate the heat.

It's not going to get any better next summer, or the summer after that as the planet heats up. I have a lifelong condition which screws my blood pressure in hot weather, but I'm finding ways around it. We had better stop complaining and start adapting.

Genuinely worried about coping in future summers - it’s really messed with my head this year.

So humid today…looking forward to going on holiday tomorrow…for a pool and proper aircon!

DH is on immunosuppressive medication which makes him more vulnerable to the heat. He has really, really struggled this year and been very unwell. So yes, I cannot wait for Autumn as it means he will not be struggling as he has been. I have found it utterly vile as well and cannot wait for fresher weather. It's been a long, long summer.

Yes, South East and we have a thunderstorm and it’s chucking it down. I’m enjoying listening to it and hoping it clears the air as it’s been so humid this week.

Lots of rain in London. Definitely needed it although won't touch the surface of saving a lot of the grounds and flowers.
Keep seeing headlines saying we are due 32C temps at the weekend but forecast shows low twenties. Can't wait for it to move into September as the possibility of sky high temperatures become less of a possibility especially as the nights draw in. I have absolutely hated this summer.

Effed and blinded through every hot day so far due to air con being broken in my work truck. Now I'm worried this crappy drizzly weather is all I'm gonna get until next year. Months of cold and rain.

Sometimes September and October can be quite nice. Warm even.
The rain is very much welcome here , although weeks and weeks of it would be depressing
But we do need it too.

Same here. May and June were surprisingly cool - even chilly. We got to mid June and I remember thinking "maybe the media exaggerate climate change." Then wham, two months of horrible humidity and heatwaves. It has been unbearable in Essex. I'm sure there is something wrong with me. I just go insane in the heat. Can't bear it. This morning, when I came downstairs in the cool rain, I felt like a new person. I cannot wait for the first time the day temperature drops below 20.

God knows what I'm going to do if this is the future.

I'd love some heat.

I've had to pop the central heating in twice this week and it's hardly stopped raining for the last week or so.

I'm already outraged that it's getting dark at 8pm. I hate short days closing in on me. At least we've had a decent, usable summer. 😎

This is the first day in what feels like the entire summer where l haven’t boiled alive. It’s about 20/21 and it’s bliss. I actually began to think there was something wrong with me l was becoming so intolerant of it.
