He's here now eating crisps. Anyone would think he's chewing through a fking concrete wall! And yyu should here the fucking racket when he's eating lettuce! I don't know who taught him to chew like that but OmFGOD I HATE IT!! . It makes me want to smash my face into a wall!
Swallowing noises too.

Anyone else hate the sound of their partner eating/swallowing?

On Jermey Vine this morning, some "professor" came up with 'evidence" that we should be eating with our mouths open and slurping drinks, it's horrid. My mum does this thing where (even though her mouths shut) she makes a weird grinding noise while breathing through her nose and I honestly can't take it, she tries not too, but once she's done it, the glass is broken and then that's all I can hear!!!!!

It's called misophonia and it sucks! I have it with some family members. It's difficult.

Yes! The sound of him chewing, snoring, heavy breathing, the noises he makes when he sits down and gets up again..

It wasn’t always all of these things but over time they snowballed. We are now separated.

I read something recently that said 'a lot of marriage is just listening to someone else eat' and I thought that was so right 😁

I am not in any way a violent person but the sound of certain people eating makes me fantasise violent endings for them.

Strangely it didn’t bother me at all with my kids until they hit the teenage years.

My son gulping, my husband crunching cereal and my boss eating/drinking/breathing. Especially my boss because he makes sex sounds when he's eating something as basic as fucking chips.

I could have written this it's awful, a really bad feeling of rage and it's almost as if fight or flight kicks in and I just have to get myself out of the situation... I leave the room if crisps are involves

DH and I work together. When he eats his lunch at work, I have to put silicone earplugs in.

I've got the fecking things everywhere so that I can put them in as soon as he starts eating.

This way, he's not under the patio.

The sound of my husband eating a soft boiled egg...
It's impossible to describe with mere words the rage in induces in me.
He eats it immediately after its cooked, it's always too hot which leads to slurping.
Even with the most polite silent eater eggs are disgusting but the sounds are another level of torture.

When my dad eats I leave the room. Has caused problems my whole life but the sound makes me want to be sick and rip my ears off

Only when he chews soup! It's liquid! Why can I hear your fucking teeth chomping?! What is there to chomp on?!

Tell him he needs to chew with his mouth closed. Let him know it is super annoying and makes you lose your appetite. And if he still continues, there’s always divorce. :)
