What’s the sad reality about life that you had to learn?

To me it was how little people actually care about other’s.

And how lonely and isolating life can be, even as an adult, if you just don’t ”fit in” with the norm.

The longer you live, the more people you lose 💔

People lie.

Domestic abuse is true. Some men are evil.

Women are tenth class citizens and are disposable and replaceable.

dont trust anyone. its not just because they are bad.

Life can end suddenly.

So enjoy living as much as you can while you can.

It passes faster than you can imagine

agree with that. enjoy the present becaus it will not happen again.

Just because you consider someone your best friend, doesn't mean you're theirs.

I absolutely love people, they bring the sparkle to my life but underneath all the good stuff people have, I have learned that all people have a strong animal nature and they will go against what is right or moral or just to meet their own needs at other people’s expense all the time.

Most people are nice. It is only a small minority who tip the balance

Some people are genuinely evil.

The even a child can succumb to evil cancer.

maybe they are ill?

Your body ages faster than your brain.

Women have to prove themselves and work doubly as hard as men for the same recognition.

The days are long, but the years are short

And most people are nice.

If you want to do something, change something, be something, have something, you have to do it yourself.

no one will do it for you, no one will help you, and many people are an active barrier to whatever it is you are trying to do/change/be/have.

The type of life you have is totally about your own choices, your own attitude and it’s in your own control.

People looking to others to make decisions for them, or more commonly, passively not making decisions at all and letting life wash over them as it comes, are always going to be unhappy or have regrets.

How fragile life is so you need to find the joy you can where you can.

That you have to love yourself the way you need to be loved.

That you have to take most of the responsibility for your own wellbeing and happiness.

That it’s actually very, very short, and such a great pity that the human race has squandered so much intelligence, time and energy developing so many horrific ways to damage each other and the planet.

That no matter how clever you are and how hard you work the odds are stacked against you unless you have the right connections/education/family money.

That really shitty things often happen to good people.
That life is actually very short and goes too fast.
That women need to stick together and stick up for each other. We need each other.

It's been depressing recently seeing how keen people are to erase the words women and mother from things that affect us. We are at the bottom of the pile. It's been a bit of an eye opener seeing how many men hate women.

That there isn't a happy ever after, just a series good times and bad times, all transitory. In one way its a comfort as the bad times pass, but the trade off is an awareness that happiness, stability, health and wellbeing are very fragile, and can be lost at any time.
