Sorry if AIBU is not the most appropriate place to post this thread in.

Would you say Jersey is a well known holiday destination? Have you heard of it before?

Yes of course...

Wherehasthecommonsensegone · 04/07/2022 22:40

Yes

AllTheDancers · 04/07/2022 22:40

Are you mainly asking British people if they have heard of the well known part of the UK which is called Jersey in the Channel Islands? Why wouldn't they?

Are you in Britain/British?

Knittedfairies · 04/07/2022 22:40

Erm... Yes and yes.

BeBraveAndBeKind · 04/07/2022 22:40

Yes, I had my honeymoon there many years ago.

LoudingVoice · 04/07/2022 22:40

Yes, it’s very well known.

endofthelinefinally · 04/07/2022 22:40

Of course. Jersey is a lovely place for a holiday. Very popular and well known.

Nicnak2223 · 04/07/2022 22:40

Yes I've heard of it, yes I knew it was a holiday destination and yes I've even been there.

RedCardigan · 04/07/2022 22:40

That’s 2 questions.
Are you asking if peoples geography is so shit they haven’t heard of it? Or if they’re assuming it’s just in America?

Donotgogentle · 04/07/2022 22:40

It’s a well known place, yes. And people go on holiday there. Possibly a slightly older demographic.

Bunce1 · 04/07/2022 22:41

Yes and yes. Not somewhere I have ever considered though.

Blinkingheckythump · 04/07/2022 22:41

Having not lived under a brick.... Yes I do know of Jersey

QueSyrahSyrah · 04/07/2022 22:41

Yes, we holidayed there when I was a kid.

MolliciousIntent · 04/07/2022 22:41

...are you British? Who hasn't heard of Jersey? That's like asking if you've heard of Cornwall.

RodiganReed · 04/07/2022 22:41

There will be hardly any British born people who haven't heard of Jersey

MyFourthName · 04/07/2022 22:42

Bergerac country

Scianel · 04/07/2022 22:42

Is it common NOT to have heard of Jersey? That seems unlikely in the UK. I'm confused now.

xsquared · 04/07/2022 22:42

Yes. I went there on holiday as a child.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 04/07/2022 22:42

Is this a trick question?

Ihaventgottimeforthis · 04/07/2022 22:42

Yes, think it's gone a bit out of fashion as a holiday destination in recent years but it's certainly not a secret.
Jersey is beautiful, shame its so expensive - travel, accom etc.

RoseMartha · 04/07/2022 22:42

Yes and have been there and to Guernsey, Sark and Herm.

BlackbirdsSinging · 04/07/2022 22:42

Very strange question. Yes most people have heard of it.

merryhouse · 04/07/2022 22:42

errrrrr...

(my parents, swish bastards, went there on their honeymoon)

Scissor · 04/07/2022 22:43

Dead famous, before Bergerac moved to Midsomer

Luredbyapomegranate · 04/07/2022 22:43

Anyone in the UK would have heard of the island of Jersey

And most people New Jersey, which has nice bits..
