Sorry if AIBU is not the most appropriate place to post this thread in.

Would you say Jersey is a well known holiday destination? Have you heard of it before?

Are you being unreasonable? No
Are you showing your ignorance? Yes 😅

Are you mainly asking British people if they have heard of the well known part of the UK which is called Jersey in the Channel Islands? Why wouldn't they?

Are you in Britain/British?

Jersey is NOT part of the UK as its a self-governing British Crown Dependency. But it is part of the British Islands which is defined in British Law as:

the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (formerly the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland)

the Bailiwick of Guernsey (including the jurisdictions of Alderney, Guernsey and Sark)

the Bailiwick of Jersey

the Isle of Man

I’ve not heard the podcast but she’s Canadian isn’t she? Maybe she just hadn’t heard of it which would be understandable as she’s not British.

She’s just been filming here though so she def knows where it is now 😅
