ScrollingLeaves · 06/04/2022 17:08

Agree. And I am glad he has said it in a clear, simple way.

Mnusernc · 06/04/2022 17:10

Yes. First time for everything.

Mybestyear · 06/04/2022 17:10

Lol I knew there’d be a thread on here - just thought to myself it’s the first time I’ve agreed with anything he’s said!! Keir stammer take note!!

Mnusernc · 06/04/2022 17:12

Are we actually going to have to vote Tory? Do Labour hate us that much?

somewhereoverthechipshop · 06/04/2022 17:12

I do too. He’s an arse and I am not a conservative voter and never have been...however I’m relieved someone had the balls to say it.

Proudboomer · 06/04/2022 17:12

Not a fan but if he is the only one who is going to protect Womens rights , sports and spaces then I will hold my nose and give him my vote.

GreenLunchBox · 06/04/2022 17:13

Maybe click on the link in the OP. hmm @GreenLunchBox*

Nah, you're all right

Schools2023 · 06/04/2022 17:13

Also also, if we hold the same views as the PM does that mean we can't be sacked and punched and threatened anymore?

PeskyRooks · 06/04/2022 17:14

OK yes I agree with him. But even a stopped clock tells the right time twice a day.

Auntieobem · 06/04/2022 17:14

Me too. Not a comfortable place to be in.

Thesearmsofmine · 06/04/2022 17:14

Me too, first time for everything I guess. I hope Labour do take note of peoples opinions on this.

Riverlee · 06/04/2022 17:15

Well, that’s a opening title I never thought I’d see on mumsnet!

TheWayTheLightFalls · 06/04/2022 17:15

Well, if anyone’s going to know what a woman is it’s our esteemed prime minister.

Cosmosgrowinmygarden · 06/04/2022 17:18

Me too. Fancy, a politician with a straight forward answer to this question! And the only party leader too.

ofwarren · 06/04/2022 17:18

I never thought I'd say this but today, I also agree with Boris Johnson.

ScrollingLeaves · 06/04/2022 17:18

“Thesearmsofmine

Yes…….and stop the 1984 language associated with this issue. It has been introduced all over the place. That in itself is extremely worrying in my opinion. To me that seems sinister in its own right and if a political party condones it, that makes them seem sinister in my eyes too.

TurningUpMyStereotype · 06/04/2022 17:21

I agree with him too. Doesn’t happen often.

Starmer and so many other politicians sound ridiculous on this issue, stumbling over the definition of a woman. 🙄 Shameful.

DrManhattan · 06/04/2022 17:22

Still not gonna vote for him.

Runaway1 · 06/04/2022 17:24

Me too. A very uncomfortable place to be!

JaninaDuszejko · 06/04/2022 17:24

That was spectacularly clear and covers all the main points.
No males in female sports
Children can't be Gillick competent to make decisions on irreversible treatments
Women only spaces need to be retained.

Well done vipers Grin.

Quornflakegirl · 06/04/2022 17:25

I will vote Conservative for the first time it Labour continue down this path.
