When roll ons and sticks are more effective, more economical (all the product goes where it is meant to rather than half of it going into the air around you) less polluting and less irritating to the lungs? Seems like a no brainer to me.

Agree, some of them stink to high heaven 🤮

DockOTheBay · 16/03/2022 14:15

I never found roll on ones to be more effective, they would feel all sticky and not dry.

I use a crystal stick now which is brilliant but I did use spray for a long time.

user1471457751 · 16/03/2022 14:17

The last three I have tried: one broke apart, one didn't work and I would end up smelling, and one left a lot of residue even just from one swipe which then rubbed off on my clothes.

Pumpfive · 16/03/2022 14:17

I hate roll ons, they feel horrible ans sticky. I only use roll ons occasionally when it's super duper hot and feel I need extra protection but have to give myself extra time for it to dry and then I use spray too

Pinkandpurplehairedlady · 16/03/2022 14:17

I don't like how long it takes the roll on ones to dry and the stick ones always leave a residue on my clothes. I quite like my bedroom smelling of deodorant after I've sprayed my arm pits in the morning.

luxxlisbon · 16/03/2022 14:17

I don’t find roll on more effective, it’s all tacky and gross feeling.

MrsGHarrison87 · 16/03/2022 14:18

I think sprays are more effective by far.

Schwarz · 16/03/2022 14:18

Roll ons make me squirm when they're all wet on you! I tried a few sticks and had reactions, so not for me. Sprays just work well imo, easy to use, not wet or sticky and actually most of it does go on the area you intend if you spray it normally!

Butitsnotfunnyisititsserious · 16/03/2022 14:19

I find sprays more effective and I like the smell. It's also quicker as I can spray and go when I get to the gym to quickly freshen up.

PivotPivotPivottt · 16/03/2022 14:21

I hate roll ons, always feel wet and sticky. I've not tried sticks for years but didn't rate them when I did. I find sprays the most effective. I don't mind the smell of sprays either .

DorothyZbornakIsAQueen · 16/03/2022 14:22

Simply put, it's because everyone has different likes and dislikes.

As roll on is a 'no brainer' to you, spray deodorant, may be a 'no brainer' to others.

Cabbagepie · 16/03/2022 14:24

Each to their own. I find sprays much more effective and economical than sprays or sticks which go on much thicker.

GlitteryGreen · 16/03/2022 14:24

Agree with others, I don't have time to let roll-ons dry and most of it ends up wiping off onto my clothes where it's still wet when I'm dressing.

I don't mind the sticks though, but they tend to be more expensive than sprays.

CounsellorTroi · 16/03/2022 14:25

Roll ons and sticks work fine for me, and I like the fact the smell is more subtle. I put mine on straight after washing/showering and it’s dry by the time I’ve finished applying body lotion, cleaned my teeth and moisturised my face.

Because they work and I want to

Roll ons are sticky and make me feel grubby all day

But that's the key point... They work well for you. Not everybody.
DrManhattan · 16/03/2022 14:32

Because I want to

Boood · 16/03/2022 14:35

If you’re applying it to hairy skin, sprays are better. Sticks and roll-ons are only better on hairless skin.

Misreadprob · 16/03/2022 14:37

You're all bu. Home made deodorant in a jar is where it's at

DrManhattan · 16/03/2022 14:38

@Misreadprob
Lol

WomanStanleyWoman · 16/03/2022 14:41

Roll-ins usually contain gelatine. I don’t use animal products.

Barrawarra · 16/03/2022 14:41

Yup roll ons feel slimy and gross to me.

WhereYouLeftIt · 16/03/2022 14:42

When you say less polluting - what do you mean?

Roll-ons and sticks are in hard plastic cases. Those plastic cases should be recycled, but that doesn't mean they will be.

DramaAlpaca · 16/03/2022 14:42

I only use a spray if I get up late, am in a rush and don't have time for the roll-on to dry. Like this morning...

DobbyTheHouseElk · 16/03/2022 14:47

Roll on is so sticky. I have to wait to get dressed. I have both and alternate because my armpits get sore.
