How long does javelin arse last?

TiffanyAchingsHatFullofSky · 29/01/2022 22:20

It happened to me last week for the first time in ages. It lasted about 5-6 seconds.

I was just wondering whether, when we describe javelin arse, are we all experiencing the same thing?

Does it only last a few seconds for others as well?

Huh?

Kerberos · 29/01/2022 22:21

About 15 minutes :(

Stormwhale · 29/01/2022 22:21

Yes, I have recently had a random bout of this and it happened a few times through the day. It lasted a few seconds each time.

PolaDeVeboise · 29/01/2022 22:22

I'm currently 'buckilt' as we say in these parts. Haven't seen this expression on MN for ages! For me, it lasts about 3 seconds, but it's blardy sore!

BitterTits · 29/01/2022 22:23

Um, javelin arse?

Catabogus · 29/01/2022 22:23

Yes, 5-6 seconds is exactly what mine does.

MichelleScarn · 29/01/2022 22:24

Ã’oo also 3 secs here!

SockFluffInTheBath · 29/01/2022 22:24

Sudden sharp pain in your bum? A second or two.

TiffanyAchingsHatFullofSky · 29/01/2022 22:25

@Kerberos

About 15 minutes :(
15 minutes?!

Can you walk and talk during that time? Because my 5-6 seconds takes my breath away and disables me!

OP posts:
SleepyJackson · 29/01/2022 22:25

1-2 seconds. 3 tops.

StrictlyAFemaleFemale · 29/01/2022 22:26

Up to 15 minutes when I was younger. Usually 15 seconds tops now.

itsmeagainagain · 29/01/2022 22:27

Yes a couple of seconds of bent over agony. I’ve been tracking it and it’s around ovulation for me

ofwarren · 29/01/2022 22:27

A couple of seconds for me. Bloody agony

aLilNonnyMouse · 29/01/2022 22:29

Only about 5-10 seconds each time, but it clusters together and happens randomly for about 30 mins. Usually only the day or two before my period.

TheGonnagle · 29/01/2022 22:30

Between 3 and 5 seconds. It’s so startling I never manage to style it out either. Always gasping and swearing holding onto the nearest solid object like I might fall off a cliff!

Totalwasteofpaper · 29/01/2022 22:30

5-6 secs and on occasion, if deeply unlucky, maybe 15-20 secs max.

15 mins could probably kill a human. 😂😂😂

Hairyfriend · 29/01/2022 22:30

Never heard this term in my life?

Do you mean a shooting pain inside the anus, bum cheeks, coccyx or something else??? Confused

namechanged221 · 29/01/2022 22:32

Ohhhhh.... javelin arse

Thank God there's a name for it.

I thought it was just me

Name99 · 29/01/2022 22:33

Someone posted the correct medical name for it a while ago, I can't remember what it's called

Lulu1919 · 29/01/2022 22:34

Known as shooty arse here ...
A few seconds but takes my breath away

hamsterchump · 29/01/2022 22:34

What on earth? Why does this happen to so many of you?

I've never heard of it, is it something to do with Centre Parks? Just another reason to keep away from there for me if so.

Supersimkin2 · 29/01/2022 22:35

Proctalgia fugix.

Bear down as if pooing and it eases faster.

Kerberos · 29/01/2022 22:36

Not easily. Sounds like it might be less intense than the rest of you are reporting. Oh the relief when it stops though

TiffanyAchingsHatFullofSky · 29/01/2022 22:36

That made me LOL.

"Is it something to do with Centre Parks? Always hated that place."

A few seconds for me.

I find fanny daggers more of a hinderence though.
