How long does javelin arse last?

It happened to me last week for the first time in ages. It lasted about 5-6 seconds.

I was just wondering whether, when we describe javelin arse, are we all experiencing the same thing?

Does it only last a few seconds for others as well?

It happened to me last week during an important meeting in which I was speaking at the time. I honestly couldn't speak, and nearly fainted from the pain and trying to hold it together. It was horrfic from the faces of the people in the room they knew something was wrong but that I wasn't about to confess to having a my poor arse being stabbed by a stabby fucking javelin.

mittelschmerz is ovulation pain (though I'm sure there's a Latin name)

Im well menopausal now and still get JA even though my ovaries have shut up shop.

It lasted about 10 excruciating seconds on everyway possible.

DH has had it too. He gets it in the night and goes to the loo but has passed out. Something to do with pressure on a nerve but was quite scary as he went all clammy and pale.
I’ve only had it when awake and around periods which are thankfully fading away as I’m 50.

It really is agony… but only for a few seconds for me.

I haven't had it for a while but have had fanny daggers off and on all day. Does anyone get left tit ache?

For me it lasts minutes rather than seconds. Easily 15-30 minutes. Occasionally it wakes me up in the night which is particularly unpleasant. I have found squatting on the floor or getting in a hot bath helps a bit.

20 + minutes for me, I usually end up on all fours crawling around the bed as no position helps, like a lot here it happens a few times a year, excruciating pain, my eyes are on stalks, after I feel exhausted. I try to breathe through it but it’s difficult.

About 15 seconds for me. But it feels like 15 minutes.

Paralysing and disabling seconds for me but long enough to be worth taking paracetamol and for it to kick in for other relatives.

I've been woken up in the night by javelin arse, it feels like shooting contraction type pains right up the backside I've actually thought I was shitting myself but it was just the contractions. it actually reminds me of being in labour I've had it that bad. almost passed out with it once. I had it for the first time when I was about 40 and I wondered what the hell was going on thought my arse was falling out.
Not a nice pain to have at all. my boughts usually last about 20 mins I just breath through it like being In labour lol.

I’ve never even heard of this or stabby vaginas.
I wonder if it’s genetic as no one in my family gets these either, that I know of.

I've only ever heard about this horrible sounding thing on here, never otherwise in all my 57 years.

I've never experienced it either, and am mightily relieved about that.
