I've been driving around a bit this morning and have passed a few garages that seem to have normal numbers of cars on their forecourts and the queues have gone. AIBU to think that it is over? Or is your area still struggling?

YABU - still problems here
YANBU - all over

(sorry for the poll- like requests, I've been overthinking it and confused myself)

dunkaccino · 30/09/2021 12:00

North Yorkshire into East Yorkshire - Scarborough, Bridlington, Driffield areas and then North again.

🤣 over? Not where I live it isn’t (SE) and it’s a huge problem as we are rural with no public transport.

CandyLeBonBon · 30/09/2021 12:02

Not round here. My empty indicator was flashing this morning so I finally met for petrol and several were closed and I queued for 30 mins to put £40 in. Done now though and I'm limiting journeys now to avoid using it up too fast!

Toottooot · 30/09/2021 12:03

No problems where I am in Scotland - tankers delivering at least once a day - often more to local petrol stations. 🤷🏻‍♀️

DressBitch · 30/09/2021 12:04

My husband went straight in and filled up this morning. No issues whatsoever. This is in Gloucester.

I hope it's over.

Justcallmebebes · 30/09/2021 12:04

I live rurally( E Mids) and we have no petrol in the three garages in my nearest small market town. I commute into the city and this morning things were looking a little more normal but Sainsbury's were still closed.

I use the bus to commute but need my car at weekends and am almost out of petrol so praying I can get some tonight or tomorrow

DPotter · 30/09/2021 12:05

Not in my neck of the Woods - Thames Valley

LadyLothbrook · 30/09/2021 12:09

I'm also in Bridlington and things are back to normal today.

Still a problem here in SE. Queues still blocking all the carriageways.

Marmite27 · 30/09/2021 12:13

All over here in South Leeds where I work.

schoolhelp22 · 30/09/2021 12:13

E Midlands, filled up no issues this morning.

StartSelect · 30/09/2021 12:15

I haven’t seen a queue at any point or had trouble getting petrol (Scotland)

SockQueen · 30/09/2021 12:16

Home counties. Not sure about this morning, but yesterday evening I went past 5 petrol stations that were either totally closed or standard unleaded only (my car is ancient and now needs premium unleaded due to the E5/E10 change). The station I finally managed to fill up at ran out of diesel while I was in the queue. I think it's better than a few days ago but still not fixed.

lurker101 · 30/09/2021 12:17

Seemed to be no issues in West London last night - people casually filling up and a queue of 2 cars waiting

orangeautumnleaves · 30/09/2021 12:18

I don't know today but late last night still queues around SW London.

RuthW · 30/09/2021 12:21

None here. I'm fine but my dd is struggling. If we don't find dome at the weekend she will have to find other means of getting to work. She's a teacher.

londonrach · 30/09/2021 12:23

No problem in my area of the Midlands...been ok since yesterday...no queues and lots of petrol. We had a issue from.weekend till Tuesday but think that down to people being silly. Yanbu.

ChrissyHynde · 30/09/2021 12:24

None here since Tuesday lunchtime. Small rural town , nearest larger town 23 miles away

JennetHumfrye · 30/09/2021 12:25

No issues over here for Manchester and Wigan suburbia. There was pandemonium at the start of the week bit hopefully it has subsided.

Enko · 30/09/2021 12:26

SE here 3 petrol stations close"ish" to me all closed with no fuel at all. I thankfully have a half tank still.

poorbuthappy · 30/09/2021 12:27

South Wales - still an issue. Local Morrisons fuel station closed this morning

FairyAtTheBottomOfTheGarden · 30/09/2021 12:28

Most fuel stations are closed in my area of Berkshire, with crazy long queues at the ones which do actually have any.

abbey44 · 30/09/2021 12:29

Still some issues round here (east Kent) - I've just tried to book a taxi to hospital next week for an operation and been told they aren't taking any bookings at all, and to try next Monday. Have to be there 7.30am Tuesday, so it's cutting it a bit fine - I'm not quite sure what do do about it, to be honest.

5foot5 · 30/09/2021 12:30

Cheshire here. Last night I filled up on my way home from work. No queue I just drove straight to the pump. Diesel wasn't available but no problem with unleaded
