I do really feel for her, she was an exploited child and went through what appeared to be repeatedly brutal experiences.

But whenever she talks, the attitude and "the world owes me" way in which she speaks is not helping her cause at all.

Have you got a link to an interview?

CtrlU · 15/09/2021 14:27

Sometimes people can come across differently to how they are actually feeling

HurryUpAndWait23 · 15/09/2021 14:32

I guess when I watch this most recent one, I still have her previous interviews in mind and I can't shake that.

YABU.

She went to join ISIS at 16. She knew what she was doing - the claims that she thought it was just an Islamic organisation where she would be a wife and mum are absolute bull - everyone in the world knows what ISIS is and what it stands for.

Lots of people have troubled childhoods however they don't run off with friends to join a known terrorist organisation.

I think she comes across that way in interviews because she has absolutely no feelings that she has done anything wrong, l do not get any feeling of repentance (especially with her comments on the Manchester bombing) and she just thinks she deserves the chance to come to the UK.

AnneLovesGilbert · 15/09/2021 14:38

She never comes across well. I wonder how her ISIS bros would feel about her western fashion style today.

Sylvvie · 15/09/2021 14:43

I don't believe for a second, with how much coverage there was of ISIS and what they were doing at the time, the huge numbers of people they were killing, and the acts of terrorism they were claiming, that she had "No idea it was a death cult". Unless she never watched the news or left the house

She is full of shit and she should not be allowed back here.

She was 15. A child.
Fraine · 15/09/2021 14:47

A groomed child at that. This idea that brown girls can’t be groomed is very damaging.

Nutkinsnuts · 15/09/2021 14:48

She deserves what she’s got

Whammyyammy · 15/09/2021 14:48

Didn't she praise the efforts of the Manchester bombers? And was an adult at the time? Zero remorse, apart from wants to be back in the UK, living with a population she clearly hates.

At 15 you have a sense of moral compass. I do t buy why what she's saying now.

preparetheships · 15/09/2021 14:51

Older and wiser people have been radicalised.
To an extent I believe she was groomed into believing ISIS was going to give her marriage, children and happiness. I don't believe she didn't know about ISIS, but I don't think she expected what would happen to her when she actually got there.
Over the past few years she must have seen some devastating things, been subjected to horrific abuse (let's not pretend these terrorists treat women with respect) as well as losing her three children. It's understandable she has become hardened and appears emotionless after such trauma.

Susannahmoody · 15/09/2021 14:52

Why we are giving this woman air time I have no idea.

And the faux Westernisation with the nails and pout just begs belief.

The woman joined ISIS ffs

MrsHound · 15/09/2021 14:53

I wish I could feel sorry for her but I don't. I feel sorry for those bereaved and maimed in the name of a religious ideology.
She joined a terrorist organisation dedicated to destroying us and our western way of life.
She should stop whining and fuck off.

EverdeRose · 15/09/2021 14:55

@Fraine

It really doesn't matter how she ended up there, she went, she lived that life and is utterly unrepentant about it. She doesn't speak as someone who was groomed and knows better now, she speaks as someone who is only upset that she backed the losing side.

1happyhippie · 15/09/2021 14:56

I also don’t have much sympathy for her.
This is what happens when you leave your country and set off to join a terrorist group.
She isn’t the only one to loose her citizenship.
She’s just the most talked one.
Don’t think these interviews help anything to be honest.

Manchester will never forgive her and she can stick her half arsed apology for her comments where the sun doesn’t shine.

Confused102 · 15/09/2021 14:56

She's where she belongs.

You could just try watching the interview.

R0tational · 15/09/2021 14:59

I don't think she comes across as malacious or a liar. 15 year olds are incredibly, incredibly dumb. She isnt appearing callous to me - the interviewers do though. She can only just hold it together.

Samcro · 15/09/2021 15:00

how old is she now?
isn't she in her 20's

@INeed2P fully agree.

She seemed to have no empathy and did not come across as authentic.

Jaysmith71 · 15/09/2021 15:02

She's ours. We should take responsibility for her and bring her to book in a British court.

IReallyCantThinkOfAnything · 15/09/2021 15:02

She comes across as entitled, seems to have no empathy and the new change of image fools no one.

She needs better advice, because if she came across better people might see the fact that at 15 she was groomed.
