Best friend of twenty years had a 'cheeky joint' last night. Sister in law regularly takes coke in social situations. Other sister in law is still a raver and takes MDMA on the reg.

Am I living under a rock or something? Where does one procure such things? I'm genuinely curious. And sheltered, obvs.

Apart from the obvious concerns around drug use, does she understand the massive risk she is taking with her health? Risk of brain haemorrhage to start with, surely that in itself is enough to deter anyone.

One mid thirties one early forties. They're pretty well educated professionals so expect they know the risks.

My perpetual bachelor millionaire friend buys it via WhatsApp, I suppose introduced by some of his Chelsea pals. No idea myself.

My in laws used to smoke hash at Christmas for decades and even they wouldn't know where to get some now. You wouldn't know it looking at them trundling round Waitrose with their reusable bags 🤣

I remember what weed smells like from uni. Once we were walking through Cambridge and I told my mum that's what the smell was and she said 'oooh I have always wondered what that smell was!'

You're not square op. Not taking illegal drugs and refusing to support an abhorrent and unethical trade is not a character flaw.

I am curious to try weed. I feel it could potentially help me with some chronic pain issues. But I don't think I would dare unless it was legal. And yes I've tried CBD. It's crap.

I wouldn't know either. I tried weed a couple of of times here and there. Didn't like it. Made me feel weird and not in a good way, and a bit sick. So it's a no from me. Hate the smell as well

I seem to smell weed or dope all over the place at the moment (in underground stations, on the train, out in the street) I know people in my work building smoke it, but it seems its widely available.
I've seen dealers around my town, but presume you would need to arrange in advance - I've got no idea I'm very ignorant about this stuff!

Omg this just reminded me that someone handed me a bag of weed on my doorstep when I was 37 weeks pregnant, and I became VERY English and middle class and said 'Goodness, no thank you, I did not order this, thank you'

I have also wondered this! I only know of one couple who do this but I can't imagine them meeting some dodgy dealer down an alleyway like my dodgier friends did as teens. I don't think you're square OP - it's pretty skanky to be filling your nose up with coke as an adult!

There is a dealer in our village who we see regularly doing drop offs, it is absolutely blatant and no one bats an eye. Presumably arranged via WhatsApp
