So where are all the middle class parents buying their drugs these days?

Best friend of twenty years had a 'cheeky joint' last night. Sister in law regularly takes coke in social situations. Other sister in law is still a raver and takes MDMA on the reg.

Am I living under a rock or something? Where does one procure such things? I'm genuinely curious. And sheltered, obvs.

@rhonddacynontaf

I am curious to try weed. I feel it could potentially help me with some chronic pain issues. But I don't think I would dare unless it was legal. And yes I've tried CBD. It's crap.
It doesn't work.

You'll spin out long before anything stops hurting - if you're lucky, you'll get to a point just before a whitey where you feel that you don't really care quite so much about the chronic pain - so about half an hour or so.

If you're smoking it, it's really harsh (and smoking is really bad for anybody), bongs will make you feel like your lungs are about to explode and if you vape it, you will end up feeling OK, fine, fine, fine, fi- oooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh (puke, fall over, sweating like a pig). And if you have baking goods, you're stuck with it in your system and there's no way of stopping until it's all out if you feel uncomfortable.

It's far more effective to look at the type of chronic pain issues and look for something that doesn't include stinking of skunk (clue's in the name, by the way).

Ime well educated professionals know their own field.
The rest is moot.

rhonddacynontaf · 11/09/2021 14:08

I used to live in Walthamstow, so I'm not ignorant of drugs, because there it was all organised with corner boys and burners exactly like The Wire. You could see them running to the corner, palming stuff to each other, meeting two roads down etc.

I often saw people handing drugs over outside my house.

But I've never taken drugs myself, or even handled them.

It kind of almost felt like watching it on tv.

Erm, from their dealer?

FlyingScott · 11/09/2021 14:10

Unfortunately don’t have to look far these days to see that being an “educated professional” doesn’t stop you from being ignorant and deluded.

So assume nothing and inform her!

SW1amp · 11/09/2021 14:11

I haven’t bought or taken drugs for years but it would take me about 10 mins to get hold of a number of someone who would deliver to me

If you know anyone who does drugs even once a year, they’ll have a number and can make an intro and you’ve got yourself a dealer

Failing that, I am sure I could find a slightly dodgy pub nearby with someone who could sort it out

It’s not that difficult once you know what you’re looking for Wink

DazzlePaintedBattlePants · 11/09/2021 14:12

I dunno, and I really hate it being so common. We had dealing in our primary school car park (at least it was at the weekend) and the police didn’t give a shit. Friends use coke and I’m fed up of smelling weed so often.

What’s the bloody point of laws if no one gives a shit? Hate drugs, they ruin lives and I’m fed up with people thinking it’s all fiiiine.

And before someone goes what about alcohol - actually yes, I would like to see greater alcohol restrictions too.

rhonddacynontaf · 11/09/2021 14:13

We had the Mali boys running things around our area, but I was living there with a baby/toddler so my life was all baby sensory classes, rhyme time and sling libraries.

@2typesofjungle

I read something recently about dealers selling 'woke coke' to lots of middle class types. They tell them it's ethically produced Hmm You've got to be a special kind of stupid to believe that!
I'm sure they use ethical supply lines as well. No young or vulnerable people coerced into country lines. I often wonder if middle-class coke users give a moment's thought to how they are contributing to much wider criminality in our society. Maybe they assume the bloke down the pub grows it in his back garden.
FlyingScott · 11/09/2021 14:16

Oh wink wink, ha ha, aren’t you very clever knowing where you need to go to destroy lives.

Wauden · 11/09/2021 14:16

That coke and dope are an integral part of human trafficking, modern day slavery and child abuse.

HurryUpAndWait23 · 11/09/2021 14:16

I would just ask the relevant people.

It's not hard, and I don't believe any of you don't know where to get it either.

If you know someone who smokes it or snorts it, you just ask them. That's how they would have found it.
Who needs whatsapp or Snapchat?

EvenRosesHaveThorns · 11/09/2021 14:17

Once in my life (and only once) I ate a slice of weed brownie. Nothing happened and it was nice brownie, so I ate a second slice. Spent the night hallucinating, vomiting, begging for an ambulance.. not my finest hour & never again!

This is so so bloody ironic. Given that the shelves are not only full of a life destroying drug that has fucked people for years and years but it's actually tied up in pretty bows it entice us.

And you're bitching about weed or coke? Hmm

TatianaBis · 11/09/2021 14:18

Online whatsapp/snapchat/dark web. You can pay by bitcoins these days. Get them delivered.

Justlovedogs · 11/09/2021 14:18

@Woodswoman

You know people who take it, so you ask where they get it and if they can get you some too. So if you wanted something, your SIL would be a good place to start, or anyone else who you know.
This. You ask someone who knows someone who knows someone. All done on trust and word of mouth.
EvenRosesHaveThorns · 11/09/2021 14:18

& I could only speak in this weird, flat, completely monotone, shouty voice for hours.ugh.

Zilla1 · 11/09/2021 14:18

Ice cream van doing the rounds after dark or in Winter.

I made an identical mistake. I never, ever touched it again. Horrific experience.
Wingedharpy · 11/09/2021 14:19

I've clearly led a very sheltered life - thank God.
I wouldn't have a clue about any of this stuff - nor would I want to.

TheRebelle · 11/09/2021 14:20

I dunno, and I really hate it being so common.

It’s very common (said in my best Hyacinth Bucket voice) but seriously none of my very middle class friends do drugs and I wouldn’t be friends with them very long if they did.

TatianaBis · 11/09/2021 14:22

This. You ask someone who knows someone who knows someone. All done on trust and word of mouth.

Well yes, but she asked where. Much is done online.

Gone are the days when you went to meet a mate's dealer in a pub in Notting Hill.

ThePlumVan · 11/09/2021 14:23

I’ll PM you Grin

Sonarl · 11/09/2021 14:23

how do people mainly take marijauna nowadays I always wonder?

In my days we smoked hash or grass sprinkled in roll up cigarettes with tobacco, or occasionally complicated bong/bottle setups.

How does it come nowadays? can you have it without the tobacco?

JayAlfredPrufrock · 11/09/2021 14:24

I’m fairly old and smoked the odd joint in my student days but I have never been offered drugs and wouldn’t have the first clue how to find some.
