So where are all the middle class parents buying their drugs these days?

Best friend of twenty years had a 'cheeky joint' last night. Sister in law regularly takes coke in social situations. Other sister in law is still a raver and takes MDMA on the reg.

Am I living under a rock or something? Where does one procure such things? I'm genuinely curious. And sheltered, obvs.

I just wish it was legal to grow your own a few plants for your own consumption. it would be nice to have an organic herbal remedy for my horrible rheumatic pains.

I'd get rid of some of the tomatoes in the greenhouse and replace them with magic herbs.

I believe it is possible to buy seeds from different strains that are more like the old fashioned stuff we used to enjoy in the 70s, but if I did try to grow any in the greenhouse other people would smell it and it vanish in the night before i got round to harvesting it.

Or they might decide to let me harvest and cure it then come round and rob me of the finished result. Either way I fear it would attract the wrong kind of attention.

@mathanxiety yes there are probably products in my house made by underage labour or slave labour, which I'm not happy about, though I do make a point to buy electronics secondhand, not use amazon, and to shop ethically and second-hand when possible for clothes, as well.

That, however, doesn't really matter in regards to my point, which you missed, and which is that drug moralisers LOVE to point out the "supply chain issues" of the drugs that they are scared of or not interested in taking, because it's an easy moral stance to take, while completely ignoring the MUCH larger and more difficult moral issues around their own consumer choices.

iloveeverykindofcat: Until a few years ago people bought valium and zopliclone online, quite legally, from 'private pharmacies'. You could basically fill in a form and get an online prescription from outside the EU sent to a UK pharmacy, who then filled it, with no contact with your health records. That legal loophole was closed a while ago though.
........
You still can, quite easily, but it comes through the post from abroad so you have to wait a bit longer for it.

Plumtree391 · 11/09/2021 16:47

Stealsquirrelnutkin, you can grow your own in a greenhouse, nobody has to know if the plants are hidden amongst other plants.

DoYouSmokePaulNoNoIDont · 11/09/2021 16:48

We just grow our own 🤷🏼‍♀️

WholeoftheMoon55 · 11/09/2021 16:56

I am sorry but you are incorrect. I am prescribed Cannabis Based medication (in the UK) for extreme chronic pain and it helps me more than all of the Opiates and controlled drugs I have been prescribed put together. In addition I don't get "high" or "stoned" when medicating, because the pain is so severe it would take an awful lot to make me feel that way. Many patients who use it for chronic pain would agree with me.

BreadPita · 11/09/2021 17:00

Most people I know use the darkweb. It's a bit convoluted but you can get pretty much anything you can think of through the post
For the person asking about anrijiana, in my experience it has been pretty good for pain management (I'm involved in a few different sports so I have injuries of various levels over the past decade and a bit).
That said, I believe it's possible to get a legal private prescription in the UK these days if you have tried 2 other treatments to unsatisfactory results.
Take a look at this subreddit www.reddit.com/r/ukmedicalcannabis/

WholeoftheMoon55 · 11/09/2021 17:01

You can now be prescribed it for chronic pain in the UK but only privately unfortunately.

WholeoftheMoon55 · 11/09/2021 17:04

You need to have tried 2 different types of medication and have found them to be unsuccessful.

My friend's cleaner passed on the details of her dealer to him (for occasional dinner party coke). Another friend gets cannabis from a dealer she has known since we were teenagers. One friend uses a ridiculous amount of cannabis and lives in a remote rural area and gets it delivered mail order in special smell-proof bags from the dark Web. Apparently.

No, you can be prescribed it on the NHS, but only in certain specialist clinics.
nowwhat50 · 11/09/2021 17:16

I have a medical prescription for cannabis. It's very middle class of me! Grin

Themorethemerrier · 11/09/2021 17:16

@EvenRosesHaveThorns

Once in my life (and only once) I ate a slice of weed brownie. Nothing happened and it was nice brownie, so I ate a second slice. Spent the night hallucinating, vomiting, begging for an ambulance.. not my finest hour & never again!
Jeezo. I was in the Caribbean once and on my way to a waterfall and I asked my driver to stop at a lovely stall we came across selling organic farm produce. Only the lovely homemade sign wasn’t advertising organic vegetables and cakes. It was advertising cannabis and cannabis brownies. Thankfully my driver knew something wasn’t right when I asked him why the stall holder was asking if I wanted strong or not so strong brownies.

I still laugh about it.

MsAwesomeDragon · 11/09/2021 17:20

My neighbour was a drug dealer for ages. I only found out when he went to jail. I could have been buying drugs for years but I didn't know that's where I could get them 🤷

According to the kids at school (older kids at secondary school), it is possible to buy drugs from one of the takeaways near school. Apparently you order a takeaway in the usual way and the driver can deliver drugs as well as the food. I'm not convinced, but it's possible (I'm thinking the driver is the dealer rather than the respectable business owners of the takeaway)

NinaGonk · 11/09/2021 17:21

I wouldnt have a clue either OP.

I wouldnt mind the occasional joint but wouldnt want to fund people who make young kids enter lives of crime or ruin lives with heroin etc. We cant be too far away from it being legalised so I'll wait.

EIIa · 11/09/2021 17:21

I grow my own weed 😂

HeronLanyon · 11/09/2021 17:22

Some areas you don’t even need to know anyone. I’ve been offered drugs walking along the street before. First time I wasn’t sure what he wanted then realised he was asking me what I wanted Grin. Can often be seen lingering around more residential area tube stations at rush hour catching people on way home from work.

scarpa · 11/09/2021 17:29

If you take drugs, you know people who take drugs. So you ask them, and they give you a number.

Or you can download Tor and buy them on the dark web with cryptocurrency. Hassle, but (allegedly) better quality.

User4378645 · 11/09/2021 17:30

When I was young LSD was very popular and speed, you don't hear much about those nowadays

TomFuckery · 11/09/2021 17:32

I've got half a packet of Tramadol?

OrangeBananaFish · 11/09/2021 17:33

@User4378645 That’s Apple dark mode😂 I have no idea where proper dark web is though
Apple dark mode???? Never heard of that one.

Thanks for the explanation @iloveeverykindofcat, that makes sense.

Plumtree391 · 11/09/2021 17:34

I couldn't be bothered with cryptocurrency, I don't even know how you get it.

Why they can't take Visa I do not understand - or paypal.

Cash in a plain brown envelope is the best way.

nanbread · 11/09/2021 17:37

Around here you phone someone and they / one of their county lines lackeys come and drop it off where you are / at your house. V occasionally you'd go to their house depending on size and status of dealer. It's been that way for 20+ years.

SpaceshiptoMars · 11/09/2021 17:38

@rhonddacynontaf

What type of chronic pain are you trying to fix? Physios exercises do wonders for back pain - but you do need to do them. Rheumatic/fibro type pain - try eating raw vegetables/sprouted foods for a week - if your pain drops off a cliff, add cooked food back in sloooowly, monitoring pain levels and adjust accordingly.

Ori3 · 11/09/2021 17:42

Do people who take coke realise how boring they are? Why on Earth it’s a thing to do at naice middle-class dinner parties never did make sense to me. Such a fucking tedious experience, going to a social & trying to have fun with ppl who are off their tits on the stuff. They think they sound exciting & confident & full of purpose. Nothing could be further from the truth
