🤢

Mull · 08/09/2021 19:30

They are IMMENSE in a curry! I’ve tried with other potatoes but they disintegrate.

Slothkin · 08/09/2021 19:31

I absolutely love them - lovely memories of caravan holidays when I was little! See also M&S chicken in white sauce in a tin.

Constellationstation · 08/09/2021 19:32

Oh my god. I love them. I have them with mayonnaise

fairgame84 · 08/09/2021 19:32

Love them. We used to eat them at my grandma's as kids so I'm fond of them.
My grandma was partial to tinned food.

Baystard · 08/09/2021 19:32

Yes, I love them!

SomebodysMum · 08/09/2021 19:33

They are some of the worst things in the world

DarceyDashwood · 08/09/2021 19:33

Chuck them in a roasting tin, spray with Fry Light and bung a load of dried rosemary on them and cook in oven until crispy. So tasty!!!!

KhoshkaKatya · 08/09/2021 19:33

One of favourite. Love them sliced and fried in butter. Brilliant with halloumi and red peppers for a weekend brunch.

Inthesameboatatmo · 08/09/2021 19:33

Nope and nope 🤢🤮

SheABitSpicyToday · 08/09/2021 19:34

I’ve never had them before!

Mollypolly2610 · 08/09/2021 19:34

Use them in both Indian and Thai curries.

IveGotASongThatllGetOnYNerves · 08/09/2021 19:34

They are really nice roasted as pp says.

SoundAndVisions · 08/09/2021 19:35

We started buying them in the first lockdown as I was in my third trimester abs really trying to avoid shops. I wasn’t sure what to think but I was pleasantly surprised, they’re actually really nice!
We have them rolled in Mayo on the side of salads or in curries. I’ve raved about them to people and whoever’s actually tried them has agreed

pigsDOfly · 08/09/2021 19:35

Really? Well they must have changed somewhat since I last had them, admittedly, some years ago.

Tasteless and watery, with an odd sort of texture somewhere between soggy and hard - difficult to explain, but not a good thing - and bearing absolutely no relationship to 'real' potatoes.

Firstdateshotel · 08/09/2021 19:35

I just roasted them this evening with some cod.. They are absolutely delicious.

We like them in curry, and Spanish omelette.

gnarlyauldboiler · 08/09/2021 19:35

Oh hell no 🤢

Rhinothunder · 08/09/2021 19:35
Confused
AuntLydiasNewHairdo · 08/09/2021 19:36

Do M&S still do that chicken in white sauce? Fond memories but for the life of me I can't remember what my mother did with it.

EvilPea · 08/09/2021 19:37

Sliced up and fried in butter.
Naughty but lovely

Jaffacakeinmypocket · 08/09/2021 19:37

I love them but don't know anyone else that thinks they are delicious 😂
I still miss Heinz tinned potato salad and vegetable salad from the late 70s/early 80s

Bontanics · 08/09/2021 19:38

Good the mash up with some tinned tuna to make fishcakes.

minionsrule · 08/09/2021 19:38

I tried to get some to make a potato curry but couldn't find any, was gutted

Davros · 08/09/2021 19:39

Presumably they're already cooked so I can't have them due to low FODMAP diet 😢
