I've recently discovered tinned potatoes... Aibu to say they are deeeeelicious????

A popular meal on Cub camp (which they "cook" themselves over a fire) - Cowboy Stew (per Six):

2 tins of mince beef or steak in gray
2 tins of spuds (quartered)
Tin of carrots
Tin of oxtail soup
Sometimes a tin of beans or peas or sweetcorn

Served with part baked Baguettes wrapped in foil and cooked in embers.

After reading this thread I bought some tinned potatoes. Sliced and friend in butter and also added to a Spanish omelette

They still have that very distinctive taste that they did back in the 70’s

Still not keen but I like tinned carrots and they are still as sweet as they ever were

I made corned beef hash on Wednesday because of this thread. The DC said it felt like being on holiday and can we add it to the menu more often!
