How often do you and your dc eat McDonald's?

I don't drive and there isn't one within walking distance so for us it's a rare thing on day trips. I'd have one more often as I'm rather partial to a McFlurry or a veggie deluxe meal and dc think it's the height of excitement and think I'm a bit mean that we can't have one as often as their friends. Is it a treat? A regular thing? Just something quick and cheap to grab? No judgement from me, just curious as to what's normal as apparently I'm not normal 😂

Once a month maybe? We generally save it for emergency food when we're travelling or something. I have to because I bloody love it and would eat it until it came out of my ears!

It’s a treat in our household. We last went to McD’s after a cinema trip about 3 months ago.

We went twice this summer but usually I'd say its once a year.

Never because Dd won’t!

I might occasionally have something if I’ve been out for drinks (when kids not with me!) but that’s a rare occurrence and more likely to be BK because that’s what’s on my way home.

Probably about once a month too! Always a grab on the way home from football training type thing when I'm knackered and can't be fucked cooking.

Extremely infrequently (2 or 3 times a year maybe).

I get a coffee in McDonalds about once a year. I last had food from McDonalds about a five years ago which reminded me why I had not eaten there for about another five years. I find the food limp, damp and uninteresting. Soggy bread, floppy fries, not much flavour. I don’t get it.

I don’t mind getting stuff for my kids there more regularly than that! But a few times a year rather than a few times a month.

Around once a month. Maybe more like every 2/3 weeks in summer holidays (day trips etc).

I view it as convenient emergency food. Kids love it and would happily eat there once a week.

Probably once a fortnight on average. Sometimes twice in a week then not again for a few weeks

Probably less than once a year. Just not that bothered about it and there isn't one that close by. We wouldn't go out especially for it but maybe if we were out and passed one and we were hungry.

Was a treat when younger - 2/3 times a year, at the end of a day trip or to celebrate some school achievement.

Now I don’t eat McDonald’s more than once a year (when I go back home funnily enough, they have fries toppings you can only get there). But there’s a Burger King next to my house and I’ll have one of those every 4-6 weeks when knackered after a late night at work, no food in the house and no supermarkets open (they close early where I live).

Probably once every few months. DD only eats nuggets and a couple of fries so it's just a waste of money and I prefer other places.

Couple of times a year when on road trips. Sometimes we’ll go months/years without having it. Although we live in the US so there are other fast food outlets.

On a geeky note Marcia Chatelain has a great book called Franchise and the relationship between black capitalism and fast food in the US. It’s very interesting.

When the dc were children, maybe twice a year? Since they've been independent I don't think I've had a MacDonalds, so not for about 5 years. Ds 1 goes a few times a month, I don't think DS2 ever goes.
