Please give your opinions, all welcome...

I've yet to find a Rosé wine that doesn't give me an instant dull headache, tried lots of different blends/price points and still believe that it tasted just crap.

I hate Rose. It tastes like vinegar.

GinTonic123 · 10/08/2021 19:47

I am in complete agreement! I always think it tastes like red and white wine mixed together … and I have yet to find one I like despite repeated trying as I always think I „should“ like it….

SquirryTheSquirrel · 10/08/2021 19:47

I quite like Rose Cava.

Generally I like red wine unless it's sparkling, but if I'm having a meal with a white wine drinker, rose is an acceptable compromise.

Rose mixed with sparkling water is a refreshing summer drink.

Nurseynoodles · 10/08/2021 19:47

I agree and I’ve brought very expensive bottles of it thinking it must just be the cheap stuff. It’s not, it’s all shite.

TeachesOfPeaches · 10/08/2021 19:48

It's horrible, tastes way too sweet

OaxacaChihuahua · 10/08/2021 19:48

It’s only acceptable when drunk achingly cold on the leafy terrace of a restaurant in a hot country. Any other situation and it’s very meh.

Cookerhood · 10/08/2021 19:49

This one is delicious

Rosé wine is awful.
pigsDOfly · 10/08/2021 19:50

Meh, absolutely describes it.

Insipid and completely undrinkable imo.

JorisBonson · 10/08/2021 19:50

Cold, dry rosé is my kryptonite. Wishing I had a bottle of whispering angel right now...

DewDew83 · 10/08/2021 19:51

There's a reason it's the afterthought of wine world.

AliasGrape · 10/08/2021 19:51

It's more of a breakfast wine

cardibach · 10/08/2021 19:51

You are buying the wrong rosé. There are many, many dry ones.
Lumpwoody · 10/08/2021 19:51

Dd loves some sweet thug that sticks to the roof of your mouth and coats your tongue vile stuff

VividGemini · 10/08/2021 19:51

I like it but its sweet, I don't really see it as the same drink as white or red wine. The less fruity rosés go nicely with fresh light salads though.

dopeyduck · 10/08/2021 19:52

Agreed. All rose is rank.

Sunshinedaisymeadowsxx · 10/08/2021 19:52

What?!! You clearly have the wrong rose wines!

Try a Pinot Grigio rose, nothing below 12%…. Ice cold.. in the freezer makes it 🥰

hollyivysaurus · 10/08/2021 19:53

I quite like Mateus rose, it’s my shameful secret!

Davros · 10/08/2021 19:54

Must be De Provence, very chilled and with reasonably good weather. I love it

Rosé wine is awful.
AlfonsoTheMango · 10/08/2021 19:54

I like wine: red, white, rose - it's all good.

Sunshinedaisymeadowsxx · 10/08/2021 19:56

Rose wine isn’t sweet.. you are buying the wrong ones if you’ve got a sweet one!

SpnBaby1967 · 10/08/2021 19:56

A very dry rose is a wonder, love it on a hot day!

Eminybob · 10/08/2021 19:56

I always think people who drink rose are people who don’t really like wine.
My mum drinks white Zinfandel and it is so sweet it gives me toothache.

At a push I’ll drink a Pinot Grigio blush but that’s as pink as I’ll go.

Rayna37 · 10/08/2021 19:59

There's a world of difference between something like a dark pink sickly blush Californian Zinfandel type of rose to a pale pink dry Provençal rose. Some great darker coloured Spanish ones too. They're no more alike than lager is to bitter! I've had lots of lovely ones and generally know how to avoid the ones I won't like. If you like a certain type of white someone should be able to point you in the direction of one you might like? We don't all have to like all things but if you are a white wine drinker I'd be surprised if you couldn't find a rose you like too.

cakewitch · 10/08/2021 20:00

Even the dry as a bone ice cold ones are awful. And they all give me a headache. I've given up trying with them.

AesopsMables · 10/08/2021 20:00

Whispering Angel is sooo popular?
I am in the minority here I know. Looks pretty in the glass (they all do) Still tastes acidic.
All of them taste overly processed me thinks 😒
