I just don’t get all the fuss about stupid football

So I’m sitting in bed about go to sleep and all I can hear outside is cheering, horns beeping people shouting etc because England are through to the final. It means nothing to me. Just a massive money spinning industry.

Am I honestly the only person who doesn’t give a flying fig about it all? I actually feel sorry for the sheeple who are using it to bring excitement to their otherwise quite boring lives.

Sure I will be totally flamed for this, but I honestly wish it would just all go away.

Also, as a side note, it’s the Euros but wonder how many England supporters actually voted for Brexit 🤔 Or is that actually why people are so invested in it?

Please explain the relation to BREXIT? We are still in the continent of Europe. Switzerland and Ukraine aren’t in the EU either…

I don't even like football usually but I can work up some excitement for international matches.

It has been amazing.

England has never played in a Euros final. It is uncharted territory and grounds for great jubilation.

I'm.not a massive football fan but I got quite emotional when England won tonight. We can actually celebrate and be happy after a truly terrible 18 months.

I can't watch a sport that pays 17 and 18 year olds tens of millions of pounds a year to kick a ball around. And charges £££ for shoddy relics kit.

Loving how everyone saying we’ve left Europe and now we’re winning it or we’ve left Europe but still playing in it- we have not left Europe- what has brexit got to do with it? I’m not massively fussed about the football either but I’m happy for those who are and after a pretty shitty 18mths people deserve a bit of what they enjoy and what makes them happy- god knows there are enough miserable people in the world!!

I don't get the appeal of football either, it's not my thing. I am enjoying the cheering though, it's so lovely to hear people celebrating and having a good time after what has been a shitty year.
