I just don’t get all the fuss about stupid football

So I’m sitting in bed about go to sleep and all I can hear outside is cheering, horns beeping people shouting etc because England are through to the final. It means nothing to me. Just a massive money spinning industry.

Am I honestly the only person who doesn’t give a flying fig about it all? I actually feel sorry for the sheeple who are using it to bring excitement to their otherwise quite boring lives.

Sure I will be totally flamed for this, but I honestly wish it would just all go away.

Also, as a side note, it’s the Euros but wonder how many England supporters actually voted for Brexit 🤔 Or is that actually why people are so invested in it?

I mean you only have to ask Alexa and she thinks footballs coming home!!

I don't like football, but I'm glad something has happend to give everyone a bit of a lift. Anything that lifts the spirits of so many people can't be that bad.

I can't take anyone seriously when they use the word 'sheeple'....pathetic

You could argue that someone who uses the word ‘sheeple’ is a bit sheep-like themselves as it seems to be the word-of-the-day for anyone who expresses a mainstream opinion.

Nearly all people are sheeple as you put it, including yourself.

Unless you live in the edge of society, don’t go to work, don’t have any sort of communication device then you are a sheeple in some form or other

As I keep saying the word 'sheeple' is a misnomer. If you have worked with sheep then you'll know they're contrary, cussed and very difficult to organise.

I don't like it either OP, I'm happy for the fans and glad it's given most people a boost but I hate that it's completely taken over everything else on TV. Thank god for Netflix as I just can't watch live TV now.

Have you watched TV during the last 2 weeks? Tennis is on 2 channels every day, followed by highlights. As it is every year. This is a once in 4 years event, and there have been 2 games this week, on one channel only.

@Lisamonwesaa unfortunately there are always a few arseholes that get off on this kind of violence but it certainly doesn't "sun it up" when you put them amongst the millions of decent fans out there!
