It's all kicking off on ours! A local counsellor has put up access only signs on local roads that people use to avoid the massive traffic jams on the one main road out of the village. If you don't use the local roads you can be sitting in traffic for 45 mins.

This morning villagers sat in the street to stop people using the road, it's split the community! Grin up in arms they are!

What's happening in yours ?

IntermittentParps · 01/07/2021 10:36

Anyone need any bubble wrap? Grin Love that.

Mine today: an 'abandoned' cat that keeps turning up in someone's house (my money is on it being a two-dinners Tommy); an old photo of the local cycling club circa 1930 (genuinely lovely) and a video clip of cats killing birds at night with the comment 'Keep your cats at home!'

Lactarius Flowers

We get a number of "does anyone want this before it goes to the tip. It's stopped working but may be good for spare parts."
Followed by a picture of something that is cheap and not really spare part-ish!

I've just seen the £9 donuts come up on a Mirror post on Facebook. Must have been a slow news day!

Whiskeywithwater · 02/07/2021 20:52

Ooo - someone found a snake in their garden on ours! Beat that!

SpiderinaWingMirror · 02/07/2021 21:18

The Scarecrow Festival.
Preparation for the Medieval Mystery Plays in 2022.
Marbles competition on the Green.
Litter pickers to join the keep the town beautiful volunteers.
Food bank items needed

It's pretty much like living in the Archers.

SD1978 · 03/07/2021 01:45

Does anyone want my moving boxes.

FunnyWonder · 03/07/2021 04:32

Missing cat notices complete with cute photos.
Multiple photos of Machiavellian cats with sad, hungry faces and no apparent home getting fed by all and sundry. Hmm.
Business ads from a Personal Trainer whose clients' before and after photos are incredible.
Oh and still the dog poo.

Cats are smart buggers. I like their style.

M0nkeybars · 03/07/2021 05:26

Not been in for a few weeks but I can guarantee it'll be the never-ending argument about parking spaces and parking on grass verges. This argument has been rumbling on for the best part of five years now, and ranges from passive aggressive digs, to aggressive accusations to threats of violence.

I'm just smug that I have a driveway.

Spyro1234 · 03/07/2021 05:58

"seen this cat a few times, wonder if it's ok"
"Don't recognize this cat, blah blah"

These people live on a different planet to me! They are cats who roam for goodness sake
