My mum has nearly 12000 twitter followers.

I have like 10. She’s got loads of famous people following her too. A lady in her 60s, that’s a head gardener. Kim Wilde, Kerry Katona, and Charlie Dimmock!

The simple answer is your mum is just being herself and sharing what she loves without any expectation of popularity. She's not putting on any fronts and as you get older you give less shits about what other people think but naturally people like that honesty more
